    2019 Platinum price negotion.
Ok, I figure I will finally replace my 2002 Tundra Limited not because it is broken but because I need a rear door for the mother-in-Law and the AC cab no longer works. I realize a new model may be around the corner but that does not factor into the situation. I am hoping someone can give me insight into a good price at a dealership. The truck MSRP is $54,905 and includes sunroof, TRD dual exhaust, step boards, paint protection film, etc. Truck is new. With current cash back rebate the dealer has agreed to a sales price of $46,280 plus taxes, etc. In your experience is this a good price. I am not trading the old Limited but keeping it. Thoughts?

That is 15.7% off MSRP. Normally I would say anything over at or above 15% on a Tundra is a good deal but I have heard that new car market may not be the best right now so there is potential to go lower. Have you shopped other dealers?

Does not sound horrible. I think that you could probably get 46k out the door. that would be a good price in my opinion.

For a new Platinum that’s a good price, when I traded my 2013 Tundra SR5 for the 2017 platinum with TRD dual exhaust, bed extender, bed mats, remote start, extended warranty cost me just over $25k

I"ve heard that people have got it for 46 + TTL. In your case you're getting it for $46 + TTL + TRD dual exhaust, step boards, paint protection film.
@Stumpjumper is also correct i just checked Trucar and just 6 months ago the average price was 52 for a Platinum but now its at 49,xxxs so i'd definately shop around.
I"d be happy to get it at 46 OTD price with TRD dual exhaust, step boards, paint protection film.

i got my 18 CM OR sr5 for 17.1% off but that was in october of 18 and they wanted them off their lots. I am assuming that 15.7% is a good deal at this point but never give in without trying for more and getting dealers to compete against each other. keep us updated

I drove mine off the lot at just under $49K. Took all the taxes on the chin because I had already sold my other truck.

Sounds like a good price to me. I've been looking at the Platinum as well. The best price I've gotten so far is a dealer discount of $4,000 off MSRP. We also have a $2,000 rebate in my region, so $6,000 off in total. I haven't seriously negotiated yet, but had the dealer offered that kind of deal I'm pretty sure I'd be driving a new Tundra right now! Good luck and let us know how you do!

Thanks guys. Local dealers around here don't budge much. $2-3k off plus the $2k rebate when I visit. The dealer I got the offer from was 70 miles away. I did get a quote of $46k out the door on a Platinum with the only option being the sunroof. Sales tax here is 4.15% but is included in the $46k OTD price. I could settle on the less expensive one but I sure like the TRD dual exhaust so the cost difference spread out over the years (I kept my current 2002 for 18 years) is not much. These trucks have become so expensive as I paid only $28k for my limited in 2002 and I have been out of the market for so long. I just don't want to be taken advantage off.

go with the 46k OTD and have the dual exhaust install later down the road. shop toyota dealers on price of their dual exhaust systems then have it installed down the road. my opinion. good luck

I always take the NADA in and show it to the dealer, it gets very hard for them to argue with what others have paid.

Thanks. I guess I did receive a fairly good deal with some possible wiggle room. Love the truck and the dealer still has it. I will probably spring for it tomorrow. I’ll let you know and post pictures of the “New” Tundra and the “Old”. May have to keep the old one around to keep from getting the new one “dirty”!

You must be in one of the good states. Here in Virginia you pay tax on the full purchase price with no credit for trade in. Hence a $47,000 truck with say a $20,000 trade is sales taxed at 4.15% of $47,000 not simply on the difference. Next comes annual personal property tax.

unbelievable to think about how much tax is collected by a state if a vehicle is sold 3-5 times or more...

some may get the trade in difference but the sales tax rate is double or more...so all pay roughly the same tax give or take.

46k OTD is a great deal... if that includes everything including taxes. Local dealers here usually will not add any accessories to a deal.

That's a good deal. I'm stuck trying to decide whether to bargain for a 2019 as well, or wait for the 2020.

I'd say that's a good/great deal. I just bought an '16 with 35k on it for 39.5 out the door and felt good about it. Now, not so much...

I bought a 2015 1794 last year for $38.5k plus taxes with 13.5k miles on it. I still feel good about it. Depends on area.

That’s a great deal. What would make it even greater is a really low APR.

I got $5500 off MSRP ($52,025) for my 2018 Platinum. Sunroof was the only option on the truck. Had to travel 150 miles away to NH to get that deal.

Well, she is mine and is in my garage!!! 2019 Magnetic Gray Metallic with sunroof, TRD dual exhaust, paint protection film, stainless step boards... Looks real sweet! Thanks all for helping with making me feel comfortable with the price. $46,280 plus taxes, tags. Sweet looking trucking with the nanny bells and whistles. Old 2002 Tundra AC now relegated to the cold/hot outdoors.
