Its not so much the smooth ride that I got airbags for....it was so it didn't handle like a drunken whale with a load.

For example...this was PRE airbag...900lbs in the back.....you can see the problem.

I thought about adding springs but honestly I love the way the truck handles without a load and I didn't want to screw that up, but I needed it to be able to take weight too. Thats the beauty of airbags, you can adjust them for whatever you want instead of just having to live with your choice.

Check into them. @SeanO86 just put some Alcans on his truck with some really nice Fox Shocks and it’s a night and day difference.

Wait until the kiddos get older. Lol. They eat forever.

    Glad you're doing well.

The local 4x4 shop recommended a combo of TC shackles and Timbrens as a cheaper option from a new spring pack. With the Timbrens set about 1-1.5” from engaging. The shackle to give some lift, with weight on, the truck settles into the Timbrens and stays around stock height.

At first I thought it was a bad idea, but I’ve since spoken with a handful of Timbren owners and do believe I’ll go this route. Enough cheaper than a new spring pack, that it’s worth a try.

Makes sense. We have a couple shops around here so it looks like I'll just have to go make some friends. I'll make sure to keep the thread alive with which ever route I end up going.
