I always buy Flowmaster mufflers for my tundras well this is my 3rd (2017) cm 5.7 limited. I am not going to replace my factory muffler with a Flowmaster again. the drone at road speeds were driving me crazy. thanks for a response! this is not a TRD. I could only afford a $47000 sticker lol

I can hear my magnaflow 18" at highway speeds. Not sure if it's drone or not, but I can still hear the radio, phone calls, conversations with passengers.

Kieth at Dirtydeeds has been most helpful with my email questions, and when i do change out my stock exhaust, i will buy from them. I appreciate his willingness to match the correct system to the engine and not over sale systems. That goes along way with me.

I have the 6". Haven't installed the hemoltz resognator yet and drone is minimal. Will be installing at some point. Interested to see how it changes the sound. Supposedly eliminates drone.

I love my Flowmaster Outlaw exhaust. If your changing the muffler I'm sure you want to be heard ! The Outlaw is one of Flowmasters loudest! It sounds bad Ass! Look it up in YouTube . There is lots of videos !

If you do anything aftermarket with the muffler/exhaust system, I would definitely talk with Kieth @ Dirty Deeds. I have been to his shop in Escondido, CA and he is one of the most knowledgeable and kind persons you will meet. HE KNOWS HIS STUFF !!!! Best of luck to you. Those that have replaced the muffler have had success eliminating drone by cutting off the exhaust on the downward bend post rear axle.

The BAM muffler is a great option but don't rule out the TRD duel exhaust. I have it on my Tundra and there is no drone, love it.

A little of this and a little of that.
I just had my local muffler guy install a Magnaflow on my 2016 CM Limited and it sounds very nice. Nice low rumble without any drone at highway speeds. Not to take away from what others have said in here, so just my $.02

I have a Turbine stainless muffler on my truck, a 2004 Tundra with the 4.7 liter. It sounds great and that is all I changed on my truck. I left the factory resonator on so I wouldn't have any drone. I love the sound of the truck and don't have a lot of noise in the truck when driving which is nice but can still hear the sound of the exhaust. I got the muffler online and was priced right for me and what I wanted. I did want to do the dirtydeeds setup but didn't have the funds to do it. I have heard many good things about it. Good luck.

Its smaller than a muffler and just a little behind the Cats off of each header. My exhaust comes off the motor and connects to one right before the resonator and then back to the muffler.

I just ordered a Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler. They are not a glass pack like the standard Cherry Bomb. My wife and I like the sound so that's what I went with. Should have it installed within a week. I also plan on leaving the factory resonator.
