    Hi
Does any one know if you can use the stock 2017 TRD PRO shocks on a 3-5 inch lift or spacers. I like the look of it with the stock shocks but want it higher.
    Cheers

With shock extensions it will work with higher lift.

Shims will probably only give you about an inch or so. If you look at a pro comp lift there is a piece that you bolt on to the top of the coilover to make it longer and it comes with longer knuckles etc. I would recommend just buying longer coilovers for the a 6 inch lift, Icon makes them for pro comp, bds and I think rough country. The down side is the cost big $$$

Your sitting at 2" right now. I'd go with shims and shackles if you want some additional lift. Unless you plan on adding huge tires, then a 5" lift is gonna look like you skipped leg day.

Putting spacers on a TRD Pro is kind of like neutering it IMO. I would look into maybe getting some bigger aggressive tires to make it look beefier.

Right on thanks for the fast replies
I think I'm going to go with Nitto trail grapplers m/t 295/70/18.
Do y'all think that some 1.25 wheel spacers are a good idea

So this is what I decided on doing .......
Rough Country 4in lift kit using stock PRO shocks (2in) and then 3in blocks in the rear with stock shocks ...I should have a 6in lift all together along with 35-12.50-20 Toyo MT on XD798 Addict
    any thoughts ?????

I don't have any first hand experience with Rough Country, it doesn't seem like a popular route on here. I bet your could sell your Pro shocks and pick up great UCA/coil over setup.
There are some guys on here that really know a lot about suspension, I'm not one of em tho..

I know a certain guy on here who knows an insane amount about suspension, but I don't know if you're gonna want to hear what he has to say lol.

I would love to hear what he has to say. I thought about buying different shocks/coilovers but the stock we'll do for now. I'm interested in he thinks there will be a problem with what I'm doing.
    Thanks

My opinion. Don't cut your crossmember to put in a drop bracket lift. If you can find one that doesn't then get that but the ride wont be the same as stock TRD Pro.

@IB-IN-YA have you checked out toytec lifts webpage? A lot of the guys on here have bought from them and have been really happy with the products. They can probably give you some great input.

Pretty sure the only way to put it is that guys are going to say you have a quality suspension setup on the truck as is. If you want the truck higher, don't skimp on the quality. Are you willing to cut your frame to go bigger?

Don't screw up your suspension just to get 35's in there. Either do a CMC, remove flaps, trim skid plate, etc. and stuff the biggest tire you can in there. Or completely remove the pro suspension, sell it, and replace with a quality lift.

    Metric shit ton of parts
Rough Country = Shit (they were strategic in how they named the company...they are already telling you how it rides)
    Procomp = Shit

Buying a pro and putting on a DB lift is basically the same thing as smearing shit all of your truck...except it doesn't wash off and will forever smell like shit. I don't do bro-dozer suspensions, so I can't really help. Every single one of them on the market has garbage geometry.
