I put my Tundra up for sale last night around 11PM, and it was sold today. That was flippen quick.

So now that it is all said and done, I still believe the Tundra is the best 1/2 ton truck for the every day person. It just does everything so well, and is very reliable....hard to argue with that.

I will be having a few things for sale soon.

Tow mirrors (@Muleycrazy13 has first dibs)
    bed mat
    airbags
    Softopper

Beeb a great ride, that is for sure.

What are you getting to replaced it? I know you were talking about a 3/4 or 1 ton to tow your trailer.

Something like this. 3500 LTZ longbox.

Not sold on the longbox. This truck rides like a dream.

He didn't even drive it. Lol.

He also left it at my house for a bit. He looked at the stack of receipts and said "I'm good, I'm going to watch the Bronco game."

Yep, chevy's are expensive! That's why the F-series are the top selling pick up.

I've only been on here a month or so but your knowledge and expertise will be missed.
I'm partial to diesels (had a '99 7.3 'stroke wish I never sold. Dad still has his though). I know you'll be happy with the capabilities the platform offers.

Well it looks like GM is going to earn my business. Today I put a deposit down on a white 2016 Chevy LTZ 3500, longbox, single rear wheel truck, jet black leather interior. Pretty much fully loaded to the hilt. I almost did a 2017, but looking back in history and the advice of a 22 year GM tech on this site, I really do not want to do this until all the bugs are worked out of the L5P.
This will be my first longbox truck. These trucks are huge, but I need some things:

-fuel capacity. The factory is 36 gallons. As most of us already know, 26 gallon tanks just blow ass and really do not give a range I like. A bed mounted fuel tank should be added. 20-50 gallons should really put me where I want to be. Pulling into fuel stations can get to be a real PITA with a trailer and in diar need of fuel. One thing I always liked about my Dodges was the range. I could drive from Southern Colorado to Montana on one tank. Now I can make the round trip without fueling and dealing with price gouging.

    - towing stability. Long boxes just tow way better.

    - not worrying about crushing my cab with a 5th wheel or goose-neck trailer unless I am a total retard.

    - the ride is phenomenal in comparison.

    - bed space even if a hitch is in the bed.

    - no need for slider hitches. This is a huge savings.

Ford flat out just pissed me off and lied to my face. Not the first time this has happened. I doubt one will ever be in my driveway. I have only owned one Ford in my life, 84 Escort that we purchased for flinging in the air in High School. My buddies 2011 has been pretty good for 70k miles with little to no issues. My other two buddies with 15 & 16's have seen their fair share of problems before 20k miles. One sold his before 13k miles. The other was pulling heads off at 15k miles. I'm not going to deal with that crap.

Ram, even though they really have improved leap years from just a few years ago, I have to listen to the people that use them for work, day in...day out. Personally, if someone spends $50k or more, they shouldn't have to spend thousands more to make them run right. Not to mention replacing front end parts all the time.

That doesn't sound so bad actually, compared to what the Super Duties are going for.
