As usual the dealership was spot on. From being greeted before I could even exit my truck to when they finished. I asked for a wash and vac and who ever did that did a outstanding job, seriously one of the best service appointments I have had.

I took them half a stick of venison summer sausage with cheese and jalapenos, and they loved it LOL....

    I know boring stuff...

So, did they change oil and filter?

I got conflict info. Some says 10k miles oil change but the Toyota care booklet says 5k miles oil change.

I got my oil and filter changed at 5K. Now I'm coming up to my 10K service.

Yes they changed the oil and filter, tires rotated. I have the 5.7.

The 2013 I had, had the 4.6 which got its oil changed at 10,000 miles. I still did the 5000 mile plan, but it only a vehicle check and tire rotation

If it's synthetic they change it at 10k. 5k is just tire rotation and fluid top-offs. You can ask for the 5k oil change but that may eat one your "free" maintenance items up or you'll need to pay for it

If it is a Flex Fuel, they change it every 5K. If not then every 10K.

I have a non flex fuel with the 5.7 and the full synthetic is changed every 5k. First 5 changes every 5k are free, after my dealer charges $59.99 every service.

Being SC'd, your oil changes are 5k too right?

Hell if I owned Mighty Whitey it would be probably every 3k with the SC.

I have the 5.7L AND Flex Fuel. How do I know what type of oil it currently has?

The booklet I received said 5000 mile oil/filter change, tire rotation. The "Prepaid maintenance" said 10,000 miles oil/filter change. They charged me $190 for 5 years/55000 miles plan which is not bad; however,I did NOT want it but these finance people never give up. Even with the 3 extra oil/filter changes + tire rotation is worth the $190.

How much does your dealers charge per full service oil change? My dealer charges $59.99 for the synthetic oil service and $90+ for the front and rear differential non-synthetic drain and fill.

No way to tell whats in there now but if it was done at a dealer, it should be 0W-20 synthetic.

I didn't give them an sausage, but but my first 6 month or 8000km (I am at 6500km)service seemed to go well.

Didn't find any issues, was free, didn't take long and I got a truck wash.

Hopefully the next 2 years of free service goes as well....fingers crossed.

I wouldn't let a dealership grease monkey within 20 FT. of my Tundra, let alone change my oil. I have 2 free ones which i will not be using.
