Here are a few pictures of the wheel on my 2006 DC. I think they look great. Ignore the white marks on the close-up photo. They look like scratches but this was right after I had them installed so I think it's just some residual lubricant. Hope this helps.

How do you like the Wildpeaks? Leaning that way for both my truck and the wife's 4Runner here in the next 6 months or so.

 

I've had them for about 4 months so I don't have long term experience with them. They are obviously louder on the pavement than the street tires I was running before but it's not bad at all. I love the aggressive look on the truck. The warranty on them is 55,000 miles for some peace of mind. They handle great in the rain from my experience. I live in Texas so no real life experience in the snow. Reviews I read prior to purchase confirm the same things I've mentioned from people who have had the tire for longer. Hope this helps.

I’m liking that set up as well. I’ve been considering color matching the side mirror caps and when Tundra01yota posted her pics it gave a real good representation. Must be a body/paint person in her family (or she is one) judging by the clean work.

 

I agree with this. I hate my black fender flares.

 

Those flares will come in handy when you go bigger on your tires. Keeps the rain sling at bay. I personally like the flares as they give a bit of Aussie Outback Distinction to complete the look.

The shaved looks good too, but only works functionally where there is no ‘rust’.

I was more enjoying the removal and fill of the side molding. That truck looks really slick with all the stuff they took off.

 

I don't mind the flares. I just wish they were color matched. The white trucks with matching flares look a lot better IMO. Since it's not practical to paint mine white I'd like to eventually remove them.

Why not paint them? If you remove them It will leave numerous holes in the fenders.

 

If you were able to black derp then you can white derp?

 

I think trying to match 17 year old paint would be nearly impossible. I tried to plasti dip the door trim white and it didn't match. I ended up removing it.

I'd like to know how people have filled in those holes. I've seen several people do it and it looks great. I definitely wouldn't remove them and just leave the holes. I would have to fill them somehow or just leave it be.

 

I used Rustoleum Spray Enamel on mine flares. Granted, Matte Black is easy to match and on the touch up. I’m sure you can experiement and find a non derp color thats more ‘off white’ than ‘pure white’.

 

I think painting the flares would be the easiest route other then leaving them as-is.

 

Came out of Lowe’s on Thursday and looks like I made a friend, mine is in the background.

 

Drove it through some serious offroad in Hollywood. Went on a hike to the sign.
