This is true. They will sell for full retail and only have 83 units allocated per state! So the cool thing is you won’t see many on the road for the first year. Jeep has been verifying all pre orders to make sure they buyers were actually selected. So dealers can’t just order a unit without a buyer putting a deposit down. It was kind of crazy that they verify you actually inquired about the Gladiator early on. They had all my info on file from my information request months ago.

The 3.6L V6 is the only engine platform as of now. There is supposed to be a diesel option in the next year or two. The exact specs haven’t been released yet though. I did go with the 8 speed automatic Transmission. 814775A9-F206-47E0-8E19-5FBF56613D87.jpg

I’ve owned three Jeep JKs and they’ve all done very well. Our last Jeep had 190k on the motor before I had to rebuild it. There not as reliable as a Toyota but they are a lot of fun! If you haven’t driven one with the doors off and the top off on a trail before it’s hard to explain it. There very versatile for work & play.

If not for cargo room, I was contemplating a 4 door jeep for that reason :anonymous:. Manual transmission, all doors and roof off, etc. That is fun driving.

I was talking to a EVO Manufacturing yesterday about their soon to release long arm coilover suspension. It has King coilovers with 12” of travel. Here’s a few examples of their builds.

    This Galdiator is running 40s.
    619426D3-7B0C-4DC5-9FA2-89EE2337A5CC.jpg

This Gladiator is closer to the size of lift and tires I’ll likely go with. I love the look of 40s but they are not practical for daily use. Plus I’m considering super charging this build.

The brackets and location of the coilovers is very clean and functional.

Same here. Likely I’ll run 35s maybe 37s if they don’t slow it down to much. I’m going to post our Jeep JK for sale soon. It’s a loaded 14 Jeep JK Rubicon.

So after talking to EVO Manufacturing this is similar to the setup I’ll be doing on my Gladiator. It’s going to be a overland long arm build. 577D578E-5C79-464D-A614-CA5AABF4FFD6.jpg

not to derail things too much but, i've been looking into trailers a lot. turtlebacks are great, lots of storage room. however, i'm leaning more towards a bear apache or an off grid to have the enclosed sleeping space. throw a tent on top for when you want to sleep outdoors or need more room.

wifey told me the other day that she'd like to dump her Q7 for JK...

My ideal setup is to do higher clearance portal axles. I like to give the under carriage a higher clearance if possible. That will likely come later on. The one tons would be more practical and cost affective. I’ll probably do the lift, wheels, tires, sliders, bumpers, winch, roof rack, gears and SC first.

Well I just got a call from Chrysler concierge about my Gladiator order. I guess I won’t see my Jeep until August-September!
:tumbleweed:I’ll likely order all my parts and have them waiting for it to arrive.

They said the Launch Edition will take a little longer because it’s a special order. I saw some video showing the base model Gladiators being loaded on to trailers. I guess time will tell. I still need to talk to other Jeep owners on which SC system is recommended. Sounds like I’ve got plenty of time to plan my build now.
