Yes it's safe on most wheels that I know of

I’ll detail anything Sean! That’s the third Ford I’ve done. I spent three hours on the paint. As you can see I didn’t even bother with the wheels, tires, or trim. A big storm was coming in that night, so there wasn’t a lot of point doing those.
When he got there, he kept saying what a huge difference there was between mine and his, even though he’d washed it a few days before, and they were the same color. He started asking why his paint felt so rough compared to mine.
Just so happened I had brought a lot of stuff since I was doing my coworker’s Titan, so I went to town on it. There was a ton of purple coming out when I did the Iron X. He spent the rest of the weekend petting it.
That smoothness always blows everyone’s mind. My daughter’s friend asked if I could make his paint smooth like hers a while back. I told him to bring it over next time he’s in town.

And yeah, it makes the women happy. My wife sent me a text saying those guys were gonna owe her big time if they burned her “truck washer” up.

Here’s the Titan I did. I didn’t use Hydro2 and Beadmaker, I used Jescar Powerlock because I like it on gray.

Works great. It was my go to before I discovered Beadmaker.

I've done that. They are similar products at the end of the day. I worry about not getting 100% coverage with the hydro2 so I do thing going over it with reload is a great idea. Youd be fully sealed for several months.
The beadmaker just brings out a superior gloss depth, shine, and slickness. Even though it doesnt last as long it looks and feels the best when used as a final coat

Looks awesome...I've become a big fan of the Powerlock/ColorLock combination. Putting it on a Challenger tomorrow

I haven’t tried Colorlock. I’ll look into it. I know many detailers are fans of putting Collinite on top of Powerlock, but I don’t see the benefit.

I usually get a little more color out of a vehicle when I top a sealant, but this one was white. I polished with HD One and sealed with McKees HiDef and stopped there. The car had a lot more paint issues than I was anticipating, so time ended up being a factor.

Washed my wife's CH-R last night. She was blown away by the difference beadmaker made. I also sprayed the lower part of the car with Magma from Autoglym to remove the iron. Worked so well and made such a difference. I don't get to see the iron on my Tundra as its black but the wife's CH-R is white.

Picked up a gallon of the bead maker from the detailed image sale. I have mixed results with it so far. On my silver tundra it looks amazing and is definitely slicker than my typical klasse sealant/uber qd mixture.

However, on the metallic black tahoe i am finding it nearly impossible to remove all the streaks. It is taking way more effort to have a streakless coat compared to my klasse sealant qd spray or meguiars aersol quick wax. I applied to a cool, washed, clayed panel and it still streaked like crazy. Any tips to avoid this, can it be diluted a bit for clean up buff?

I've used it on my Barcelona red truck and wife's silver pilot. No streaking at all. I used almost a whole bottle on each vehicle.

I use it almost exclusively on my black truck and have never experienced this. I have no idea what could be causing it for you.

Yeah, it is pretty frustrating because i really like the finish after cure period. My black looks just like the pics from post 137 quoted above. I really have to buff hard to get rid of the streaks which i dont like as it can add the dreaded micro marring. I may just use it exclusively for the light colors since it does not show any streaking and stick with regular sealant for the black. Might try the reload next.

I get some steaks on my blue truck but can buff out pretty easily. I have used a few of ech20 (a quick detailer made by carpro) a couple times to help.
You're gonna love the reload, it really works great, easy on and easy off. Its not cheap but you dont need to use nearly as much product as some spray sealants or waxes. It last and protects for months, several months. It's not as shiny or as slick as the beadmaker but the longevity and ease of use can't be beat IMO. I just ordered a new bottle the other day for myself

100% agree. Reload is a fantastic product. I have never gotten streaks with Beadmaker though. I basically drown the paint with it, and spray it on the towel also. I then just spread it around, and use another towel to wipe off. No “buffing” at all. I do a panel at a time, and don’t let it dry on there. By the time I’m done, the towels are soaked in it.

I don’t know exactly what process you used, but this is what I do, and have never had so much as one streak.

Reload you want to let sit for just a moment before buffing off, so I have had a small amount of streaks I’ve had to go back over.

I think you hit the nail on the head, you need to actually use more beadmaker to make it streak less, the car needs to be soaked. The wipe around. Them wipe off with a new dry towel
The reload goes a little further as far as how much you need to put on. And thank you for mentioning the dwell time, it does need to sit and set up a little bit before buffing off.

I am going to try wiping it down faster next time. I bet the streaks are from what had flashed off before I was able to hit it with a dry towel. Thanks for the Tip!

Finally did my truck over the weekend after experimenting on my wife's car a couple months ago. Used iron x, clay mitt, car Pro eraser, bead maker. Came out great.

Wife's car holding up well. I use the Beadmaker as a drying agent every other wash.

You could have skipped the Eraser step prior to applying the Bead Maker...odds are the clay mitt took care of any residual LSP....got pics?

I like using Eraser afterwards, mainly to make sure all the stuff from the detail spray is off.

Hydro2 is super easy man, dont be scared of it. Mix it on the weaker side if you're nervous. Just don't use it in the sun, on a hot car, or let it dry. and you'll be just fine.

I put beadmaker on last week and it's still looking great and feels even better.
Today when I was driving to pick Madelyn up from school it started to rain, then it got very heavy. I could see a million little beads forming on my hood and windshield. I hit about 40mph and all those little beads came together into one massive sheet of water, next thing I know, my hook was dry, actually completely dry.
And I didn't need to use my wipers at all, the rain just rolled off

Still liking this stuff. I used it as a drying aid for the first time I a long while and as always it worked great. No streaking at all and only took a few sprays per panel to get the job done. And the slickness 24-28 hours later still blows my mind. Using the wet MF towel on the interior after using it for the paint as such a great idea. My interior looks great after using that method.
The issue with longevity to no problem with me at all, this stuff is not meant to be a durable long lasting paint sealant. It is supposed to be used to increase gloss, slickness and for hydrophobic qualities. I think I get aboutv6 weeks of use out of it, as a drying aid, maybe longer if you douse dry paint and use it that way. I think of beadmaker as an easy and quick wax alternative, because it add crazy gloss, slickness, and serval weeks of protection.
I use this as a topper over hydro2 or reload and it works great for that purpose and I cam get 6+ months of protection from those products when I top with beadmaker now and then. I saw a few posts about applying beadmaker UNDER hydro2. I think it was @driverdog who said to do it that way. To me that seems like it will not work well at all. Hydro2 you wanna have a really clean, oil and wax free surface for the product to bind to the paint on a molecular level. I get that it would be cool to "seal in" beadmakers gloss but I doubt it works like that..my guess is that by doing it this way (hydro2 over beadmaker) and not the other way around, that the hydro2 does not bond and cure correctly leading to both products failing early. It also may explain the streaking issues that some have with beadmaker. The only time I had streakng was when it was about 95 and humid out, other than that it's gone on and off really easily. I am not a chemist or pro detailer but applying beadmaker under any sort of sealant that you want to provide long term protection, will likely not result in what you desire or expect. Stick to using it as the last step with nothing over it to get the most out of it and the hydro2 or reload.
Right now I have beadmaker over hydro2 and it's my favorite combo yet.

Yes, basic rule of thumb in layering products is to always put the least durable on last.

At what point would you use a wax over beadmaker? Or would you alternate when you use either

One or the other in my opinion. There’s really no benefit to using both.

So would bead maker be a good easy to apply substitute for something like Cquartz 3.0? Maybe it just needs to be applied more often?

It's not really a substitute for cquartz at all. I get what you're saying but it's a far cry. It needs to be applied every couple weeks. It does not contain any ceramic or sio2, something like reload or hydro2 is closer but still not the same. Its great for gloss and slickness, but doesn't offer a whole lot of protection for very long at all. I love it but I use it just for looks and don't count on it to provide any protection.
