They’re still worth the price, imo.

Honest to god, I have never stressed over a decision this badly. Picking a major in college was easier than this. I've been going back and forth between OME and Icon. The OME's with discount are literally less than half the price. I'm gonna keep searching for the cheapest price I can find on the Icon's and then decide.

I’m going for OME or eibach when I am in a place to put new suspension in. I’ve heard that icons don’t like the winter. Dunno if that’s true or not.

I will report in here and on my build when I do my Eibachs. Had to jump on them with the deal Eibach was running. They are coming in tomorrow, but I'm savings to do all new front components at once. That way only one alignment charge!

Things are a little slower going as I found out last week I'm going to be a father! Been married over 5 years so I would say it's time. So money is being allocated a little differently for the foreseeable future. BUT I still am going to get the suspension all done before fall so it's ready to go before winter.

I greased up my TRE's since it didn't appear that they had been done by the shop that installed them. I did not have use of a garage this past winter since we were doing some home remodeling, so I paid to have my rack and pinion swapped at a friend's shop. Since they had to remove the old TRE's I took them some new ones to install while they were at it. Not happy that it appeared they were dry. Anyway, I remedied that!

I also installed the new wheeler's poly bumpstops. While they are poly, which is a hard(ish) material, they are softer than the factory bumpstops that I removed. Those things are like rocks. Truck seems to do much better over bumps and when hitting pot holes. The old ones came out surprisingly easy, I sprayed them a couple times with PB blaster and that seemed to do the trick.

I’ve got OME kit going in my 2002 on Wednesday. Having grown up in Australia I was pleasantly surprised to see at least the shocks are Australian made. Had read that they were primarily outsourced these days.

I noticed this morning that they finally caught on that they were selling the rear 2.5 cdcv for the same price as the regular 2.5’s. Glad they were oblivious last fall.

It has it already in the oil. Read the Autozone Specs on it. It says ‘for limited slip’. I did not add any and so far so good (6 months).

Whats a TRE? Toyota Ready to Eat?

Also, have you experienced those softer super bumps? Just wondering as these poly one of yours seem cool. The others are softer? But taller?

Yours look shorter so more play in the arm.

Any anything is softer than those OEM bumpstops. They are just like a rock pancake.

Ha so true. And Tie Rod End is TRE! I like your version more though!

I personally like the bump stops. I have stock suspension for now, so I figured why not install them. They definitely are an improvement in my opinion! I really wanted the wheelers sway bar end link bushings and sway bar bushings, so the fact these came with their anti sway kit I just considered it a bonus. I love an excuse to get in the shop and drink a couple beers, so I installed these.
*Bonus, they actually make the truck absorb bumps/holes much better. And upon inspecting them I feel better about my suspension when I have to hit a bad pothole (some Indiana roads are awful).

Did we spy those Corolla fuel injectors (250cc?) on your engine pics from the other day? Thought I saw some Salmon color where there is usually blue.

Well I’m drinking the Cool-aid and ordering up some spongey bump stops to give them a go.

No. The corolla injectors didn’t ohm out to what I need. That color is factory on the 05-06. I’ll do the 12 hole eventually

Did you add any friction modifier... I’ll do the Castrol if so. But Mobil one is what I run in the taco and i can get that at a discount

I changed both diffs and the transfer to Mobil 1 Synthetic for LS last fall. The rear did not like it. Put in the Lucas 3 days later and no problems since. It has the additive in it. Plus its half the price. Maybe the newer 1st Gens are different?

I think it's funny theyre named that considering the great emu war.

Same here, 6' 2". My boy is in a booster now, but we did fit my (ex)wife, 12yo, 9yo, and a rear facing car seat in my AC.
