Ha! No ones poking fun at you. No one wants pinstripes and it’s completely understandable. Unless you turn your truck into a dedicated offroad rig, you really should try to avoid them.

I fully agree. No concerns for pinstriping while running Cleghorn unless you venture off.
Mr. J. Bug said it right....unless you're no longer concerned about your paint...avoid those sticks!

I'm going to share a photo of a friend who brought a chainsaw to avoid pinstripes. He would literally shoot me if he found out I shared this. In his defense, his new 4Runner was a 1 week old

Your friend had a great idea. I could have used his tool when I ventured on an Utah trail

Nothing wrong with trail maintenance :fistbump:

    P. S. Can you invite him to "pre-run trail maintenance" of all our outings :anonymous:

Lol. Ain’t nothing wrong with that!! I have a hedge trimmer like that at home. If it were cordless, I probably would’ve brought it along before I got all my stripes. Now, I don’t even think about it anymore. Gotta say, wheeling is much more stress free without having to worry about stripes.

Haha! I've carried loppers on our SoCal runs, to cut branches too close to the road. I don't even try to hide this fact; I did it so people would trust we wouldn't get their trucks thrashed. Gotta take care of the homies!

Your setup can handle most of what Cleghorn has to offer. Some of the side chutes look like a smaller wheel base would be best, but I'm sure some of us will be venturing off, and many of us have recovery gear if needed.
My only question is...how are you rocking 3 wheel adapters? :der:

I’ve been out of cell reception since Thursday night, and man this thread has grown since then.
We learned a couple of things the last 2 weekends

    1. Olivia can’t handle being in the car on the trail for too long

    2. It’s so much harder camping with a 8 month old.

With that being said it’s most likely Only Carter and I on May 4th

Since every post should have pictures
    Here you go

And since everyone is talking about food, here is my food choice when camping or on the trail

One last thing. Like @joonbug said no balut

We're not, actually. @Marty McFly, @nishibot, @Tundra4Pinay, and I at least are planning a very short, very easy, no stress-- and NO PINSTRIPES-- run, with some socializing after so people that have gotten to know each other online can finally meet in person.

We'll be staying on the MAIN TRAIL, not taking any sides this time. Get our trucks dirty, line up the trucks for photos (no posting photos of people allowed; so everyone feels safe playing on a public Internet forum); head over to park up together in a big parking lot with various food options on all sides (see 1st post in this thread to get that location).

Seriously, anyone wanting a challenge would find this run boring... except that, were all such good company :p , we'll all have a great time!!

    :rofl::rofl:
Bahahahaha! Depends how well she can work the hydrolics... maybe. :D
We'all stick to the main trail, Tony. NO PINSTRIPES!!

Man, these are great photos! Bummer about Olivia not being a good passenger on the trail. Does she get bored, or sick?

We'll be thrilled to see you and Carter!

Likewise. Are you bringing the family?

I just chalked in another run up here the week after Sedona so I’m hoping for late May. We’ll see when the Bastrds can make another road trip. I’m missing a lot of days at work.

I am T2S ready guys!!! I got to do a shack down run on my new lift yesterday from Yucca Valley Pioneertown up 2N02 Burns Canyon trail to Big Bear. First time doing this trail and I recommend we do this one possibly for an easy Tundra meet up after the May 4th run. Maybe camping in Bear once we got up there if people wanted to. Anyone run this easy 2n02 trail before? I loved that the new tires and lift made my buddies Rubicon look so tiny haha.

My truck is still stripped down naked but the @Datin Metal Fab rack looks even better with the lift now.

Looks like the trail can also create some rubbing with a dual exhaust, but the risk of pinstripes like yours sure make me want to wax my truck after all these yearso_O

I may hit you up end of may. I'm off work starting May 31st, the Friday after Memorial day, thru June 9th. I'll be up to do day runs or a couple days and then may head over to Vegas area to check out some trails out there. Big Bear should be thawed out by then?!
