Suspension Advise

Hopefully this is on the right place. I have a 2014 Platinum That came with a stage 2 pro comp 6 inch lift. Part Number: EXPK5069BPX
I am not a huge fan of how high it is. Also running on 37s for extra tallness. I am going to swap out the wheels and tires to 35s and looking to reduce my overall height. I'd like to be about 4in over stock. I was hoping to just swap out a couple of components to do that and leave the rest of the lift. (ie front struts and shorter blocks in the rear). Will there be complications running the rest of the lift on shorter shocks? I was looking at the icon 3.5 coilovers. Any other recommendations?

 

Your best bet, imo, is to pull the old lift out and install a proper 4” lift kit.

Don’t know if that lift is that adjustable as it doesn’t give a range of lift - only says 6”

 

I'm not exactly sure on this, but I think you can adjust your current ProComp coils down to approx 4 1/2. You would have to get the 35's on before adjusting it though..

Well let's not steer him wrong now. That kit is not adjustable. The front end is not adjustable. The rear is a different story, because I believe that kit uses a combination of a block and add a leaf to get the lift. You would have to add the stock components back on the truck to bring the front down. I'm guessing here, but most bracket lifts(this lift) requires material to be cut off the front of the truck, so you might not be able to go back stock without work(fabricating).

 

Yep! Front crossmember is cut for the driveshaft. Unless ya have a 2WD...

That is the kit I have. I called pro comp and they said the lowest setting is 6in on the coilovers. Not sure why it's claims less.
