Nice, love my bed slide. Congrats on it. I'm guessing you will love it too. Good luck with it. I use the hell out it and it's so convenient. This is with it only half way slid out. This was today too.

No I didnt feel u were 1 upping. I was actually saying to the original poster no offense, since he painted it. I was just chiming in on ur post since u mentioned another product. I was just trying to make the point I'm sure theres tons of products that do the same. With all the advantages over painting it. But hey maybe he knows something we dont. I was just trying to help, that's why I was saying no offense. But I mean u no offense either. We are all tundra brothers and should all get along lol.

Thanks Greg. U can check out my build thread for all the info u seek plus more. To answer quickly if u dont feel like getting all the info. They're baja designs squadrons. I cut them into the black plastic part of the bumper. In the build u can see pics for exact placement. Hope this helps. If this or the build don't answer everything u want or need, feel free to reach out. I'll try my best to help further.

It's definitely good shit. I found it due to other members here that are heavily into detailing. Funny u mention the being old thing. I moved probably a cord n half yesterday and split a bunch of wood today trying to play catch up for next year. It's true what they say about turning 40, it's all downhill from there. I remember when it hardly phased me. Could do it everyday and bounce back the next day without problem. I blew my back out like 3 weeks ago and feel like a Mack truck hit me. Sux getting old, I feel ur pain.

Will do. It’s harsh here in Hawaii. If it doesn’t do well I’ll sand down clean it up and use a product to get it to shine again then try a ceramic coating

I have a product right now called solutions finish. That one works great too.

I'm a big fan of waxaddict but always willing to try something new. That cowl is a tough part to keep looking good and black, the waxaddict worked the best for me thus far but doesnt last long, a month max. Not bad because something like aero303 only lasted a week or so on my cowl. I just ordered a bottle of optimum tire coating that was suggested by @War Machine. This stuff is a different type of finish that is supposed to last months, and Jason found it stands up to that claim. I will try it on my cowl and post something in the detailing forum.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Started some of the custom interior work. Installed the AJT knobs., Wrapped the lower console in 5D Carbon. Same material/ color I used on the steering wheel last year (below). Def. the most realistic carbon IMO. Pattern shifts as you move your line of site.
Doesn't lay as well as Oracal or Sott, but not having any complicated curves, everything laid fine with a little heat. I'm pleased with how everything came out.
More to come...a lot of ideas in mind/progress.

No...I've got a 5' roll of the stuff. I was going for the bi-directional design. Inspired by the hyper-car carbon designs of Konigsegg and Pagani (below).
I've got some other carbon I'll use on the other parts of the dash. I'll have opposing directions for driver and passenger sides respectively. Since this is the center-most piece, I decided to have this design meet in the middle.
