Its like geez I'd love to show you how to do this, but I really can't be bothered, so just undo the widget at the end of this whatchamacallit hose thingy and be sure and like my video.

The reason I posted the pcv question was because occasionally my tundra would belch a cloud of blue oil smoke out of the tail pipes. It would happen maybe once every two weeks or maybe once a day usually at cold startup. The dealer where I bought it said the valve seals were shot and with removing the supercharger and all it would cost me $3200.00 plus to fix. I have a strong automotive background and knew this was bull. I've seen pcv valves stick open before and cause this symptom. I was looking for a pcv in the rocker/cam covers but it's under the intake manifold in the front of the engine. Not hard to change once you find it. Since I changed it, no more blue smoke. Valve seals which are bad stay bad and don't cause occasional blue smoke. On the customer satisfaction email survey I received from the dealership I recommended that the tech who diagnosed the problem be restricted to the wash rack.

Reviving an old thread... I just changed mine on my T100 few weeks ago, when should this be done on the Tundra??? Bought used with 26,000 now I'm at 64+

It's not really a wear item. I'd start by pulling it off and seeing if you can blow air through it. Give it a thorough cleaning and put it back in if nothing concerns you.

I only replaced it on my truck because it was 17 years old.

Wow. So if I say padding and touch it, then say padding and touch it, then say padding and touch it, then say padding and touch it, then say padding and touch it my PCV valve is changed. Cool.
