I have a '16 platinum. Was wondering if there is anywhere to tap an ignition wire up on the center console for my radar detector. Anyone?

Do you happen to have pics where the mirror tap plugs into the mirror harness at?

And those are from the harness on the windshield not the mirror. You'll see what i mean when you pull off the plastic covering the wires.

I didn't take pictures, its hard to explain without seeing it. There is a harness on the windshield and a harness on the back of the mirror. I used the harness on the windshield to tap into.

I know you didn't ask my opinion but 30 years of writing speeding tickets .My radar worked a few seconds faster than a citizens. So say my locks in 50 in a 30 a few seconds later the target vehicle then nose dives after getting my signal. Radar detectors don't work if the LE knows what he or she is doing. Also say I pace a vehicle for speeding Ill stop a give a ticket every time if i see a radar detector. Never give warning I figure the driver deserves a ticket trying to not get caught for speeding. LE write violations to reduce the chance of a accident and to keep peds safe. Thats why wrote tickets and gave warnings not for the cities revenue or the states if its a state law !

OP, use add a circut in the cabin fuse panel. it is where i have my 8500 ci installed to for power.

indicator light is in the vent, GPS antenna under the dash, computer and speaker behind the kick panel.

Speeding ticket writing cops are the worst.

You know what they say about opinions. Better to be alive with a ticket though, than dead or have killed/seriously injured another from speeding/reckless driving. That being said, a few miles an hour over is one thing(should be overlooked), but 20, 30 plus miles an hour over is another(should get a citation). I'm sure this made complete sense to everyone and there are zero hurt feelings over this. :crapstorm:

How do you explain the 60mph psl on the 6 lane highway I use on my commute where all lanes of traffic are doing 75 to 90. Even the semis are doing 80.

    It's not always about safety...

Yes it is all about safety. The very first law about speeding was written because of safety in mind !
