starter issues need help??

    2008 limited crewmax 4x4 5.7L TRD
    2" leveling kit in front nothing to the back
    2008 crewmax 5.7L 115,000 miles the engine just clicks when the key is turned to the start position replaced the old battery with a new one still same problem I'm thinking replace the starter??? Maybe someone else has had this issue

    yep bank account is running low from it..
    If the condition of the battery and connections to the battery are both good. Then starter would be next thing..

    Sounds like the plunger in the starter is gone. (Brass ring makes connection).. you can rebuild it in your engine with a few simple tools or replace the starter.

    Toytec level and diff drop, Cooper STT Pro Tires, TRD Pro Grill, blacked out, debadged.
    hope replacing it on an 08 is easier than it was on my 2000. The starter was under the intake manifold....

    If my memory is correct on the 3uz it's on passenger side.. near the manifold..

    I hope so. Something happened Saturday. Truck was running fine. I stopped at the store and shut it off. Got back in truck tried to restart and heard click then dash panel went out. So I bought a optima battery hoping that was my issue after installing new battery I had the same issue. Any ideas?

    New battery so I assume not alternator, checked all connections to and from starter. Looks like my issue is the starter. At mechanic shop now getting 2nd opinion.
