I'm having the resonators welded in to my 16x5 TRD replacement system so that entire thing is ready to go. The resonators will be slightly less effective moved forward of the tail pipe flanges, but it keeps the tailpipes intact if I want to pull the BA exhaust and return the truck to the stock TRD.

Hey TuFerLife got a question for you, are you going to be running a tune right away after you install headers and midpipes. I thinking of going with a bullydog tuner from Keith but I want to research the topic more

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
This is my first truck ever and this is the first time I am replacing exhaust on any of the vehicles that I've owned. This means I know nothing :). I ordered the SS 8" from Keith. I read that some people ordered theirs with resonators and most didn't. I understand the principle of sound resonators but I don't know how it applies to the exhaust we just ordered. I've read it addresses the "drone". Well... I don't even know what the drone sounds like. HAHA. Is this a preferential thing or a must have? I'd like the truck to growl but I don't want to piss off the wife either when she goes for a ride with me.

My manufacture/ ship date isn't until the end of the month so I hope to get some input and make a decision if I need to change my order. Thanks!

The budget systems all come with resonators (not 100% sure though) I believe and some people don't actually put them on, just preference. They just take the drone out of the cab. Great product, you shouldn't have to change your order,

Love my 8"!!! I think you went with the perfect system. And like @TC-Tundra said, most people bolt the exhaust up first, and see how they like it before installing the resonator. You'll know what drone is when you experience it, lol. And if you feel like it's droning, you throw that resonator on there and it's all gone. Drone is just like a constant tone that's kind of annoying in the cab. Normally you experience it when under load on the highway. But, I think you went with an awesome system, and you definitely won't regret it!

I like the sound of the TRD Pro dual but was concerned with the loss of torque as I tow a 8,000 toy hauler. After taking to Keith and riding in his rig, I opted for a 12 inch. The increase in torque is great as is the pick up and go. But for me, it is still too loud around town. And louder than the TRD Pro Dual. It’s OK on the highway. Its not offensive, its just not me. As being close to 70 years old, I want a throaty sound but just so so - not too much. (My wife just doesn’t even get it). So we are going to try a 14 inch. Keith says they have not built too many of them but we will give it a try. That is the beauty about Keith and his company. Totally fair and honest. And a really good guy. I took a video today but it does not do much to help as 70 mph makes too much wind noise. I will try for more. Must check out my chrome tip with black cherry bomb! One of a kind! Hope this finds everyone well.

Thanks for sharing! Glad Keith is going to get you taken care of... The only way I have found to upload videos is to upload them to YouTube and then just copy the link here. I'm sure people would love to hear the 12" if you can figure it out, and even the 14" once you get it on!
