Could you show me how you did your steps? I need to build a set off the front porch and I think your front set might fit the bill (or build).

I will have to get more pics in the morning but here is kinda one. They where done with 4 step treads from lowes. Got 4 of those then 2 deck boards on each step with the post on bottom in the ground with concrete. Screenshot_20190409-203642_Gallery.jpg

I have to figure out where the concrete pad will be then build the steps.and they probably will be 8' wide to match the width of the porch. I'm not sure if I will narrow it down and then fill in the sides between the front post and the house.

Looks great. For the bottom it looks to me like you could leave it open and plant some low flowers or bushes maybe? Or I've seen vertical and horizontal boards. Even a lattice refresh would work, but I really don't like lattice. Whatever you do, looks good.

Yep, leave about 2" spacing between them. If you have a side that's not really visible you can leave it open, or use something like chicken wire to keep debris and most critters out.

I edged all the concrete, I’m happy with it. By “I” I mean I asked someone else to do it. 8CA9C329-3B8D-4EDA-82F2-2BB1731986C5.jpg
