What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Picked my truck up from dealer on Thursday, swapped tires out on Friday for Toyo Open Country AT 2 in LT275/65r/18 and on Saturday tinted front windows. Waiting on Bakflip bed cover and Bilstein 5100 leveling kit to arrive and get installed. Pictures to follow when work is completed

Finished up my Sound Deadening and Tech12Volt Speaker Install. Very impressed with the sound from the speakers, and loving the quieter ride on the highway.

 

Went through some mud on our way to watch the k9 trials - & Found the Toyota parking

 

Did it come with the smaller camera? How is that controlled? I want to put that in the front grille.

 

It’s a reverse camera but my vehicle already has a camera so not gonna use it

 

Yeah mine too, that's why I was going to install it in the front grille for those tight parking spaces that's why I was curious if it came with it. Thanks.

 

How rough is the finish? Have you had any issue with bug gunk buildup? I'm just worried it'd be difficult to clean. Otherwise it looks great.

 

I just did it yesterday. So the bumper is still curing. But from what I’ve seen from others, it should clean up fine. I went through a few different pressures and distances before I settled on 70 psi and about 2 ft. That was the smoothest and least amount of chunks. I like it. It has a little gloss to it, so cleanup should be good.

I don’t think I would have ever picked it up if not for such a good deal. I would have just stuck with my AFE dry filter and TRD air accelerator.

 

Got home a little early from work and made a very poor decision (it was 90 degrees and sunny when i started) to replace my headlights with the ones @ARamirez73 gave me yesterday. I'm dirty and sweaty, but they're on and 100x better than the old ones. Thank you again Adam!

 

I've bought all of my Yotas from Lawrence Hall. Never could make a good deal at Lithia, not saying anything bad about them, just wrong timing.

 

I have the same exact setup u did and contemplating doing same if I can get same deal. Any thoughts on differences?

 

To maximize any CAI on our trucks; Check out the Throttle body bypass mod and catch cans....mitigates heating air between filter and manifold.
Get aftermarket exhaust. Tune.

 

I'm tuned with afe filter and trd dual exhaust. Was thinking I'd do the sabm with air flow accelerator which I have and call day. But after seeing that deal, even if it just made more noise and I didnt lose any low end torque I think I might go that route. I have heard of what you speak of but wasnt planning on getting that crazy into it. I have heard good things though and thanks for info.

 

Swapped my corsa for the TRD today ... definitely sending back the Corsa, way happier with the trd sound and dunno why it seemed like the corsa throttle response lacked compared to stock

You bet bro.
The tbbp mod is super easy, quick and cheap...just a couple of hose clamps.
I think the air box mods have some slight benefit by perhaps providing more availability of air.
I've got the S&B, which I can just take the lid off of. Without any kind of 'ram air' funtionality, pushing air thru, the truck's going to suck in all the air the ecu and mafs will let it to maintain a set afr.
No matter what's done on the filter end, its all got to go thru the tb and around the curved tube of the manifold...which btw has some terrible internal castings and hard edges. Not smooth in there like I would have thought.
One thing you can do to increase air flow volume is modify the tb, manifold, and of course port/polish heads...but that's a bit of real work...
A few months back I did port and polish my tb. The ass-dyno noticed a little more response...especially in 3rd, above 3200 rpm.
I'm experimenting as we speak with some ideas using a larger tb and mod'ing a manifold to clean up some of the internals and gasket match the outlets to the heads.

Well I went all in on the truck this weekend. JBM Motoring in Orange CA hooked it up with the @fueloffroad 20x10-18 sledge wheels, the @nittotire G2 terra grappler, and the @readylift 3/1 SST lift kit. I Installed the @spyderauto headlights and taillights, and the @ampresearch running boards, and got the windows tinted. It was a busy weekend.

Nothing new on the truck but did install a new camera in the garage to keep eyes on it while it’s resting
