I’ve thought about them, but because I tow and haul to max payloads sometimes decided they are a dangerous item in my case. They look cool for sure. I think the minimum spacer is 1.25” on ours. You may need new longer lugs bolts(on the back?) as OEM ones are different lengths in the front vs back. This allows your nuts to get up on the threads better after spacer install.

I will not be towing more than about 3000 pounds with this truck which will be very rare and for short distances. I do not want to have to cut the factory studs at all, so I was hoping I could get a size that would allow this. That is weird they are different lengths front and back, any idea why?

Not sure but I think you would have to install loner ones on the back. I read this on here on at another site. Someone please confirm.

I can confirm, you don’t need longer studs if running 1 inch or thicker spacers. I’m running wheel spacers on my 2006 tundra and I have not had any problems. I used medium duty thread locker when installing the spacers to the vehicle. I ordered mine off eBay and made sure they were hub centric with a 106 hub bore and made out of 6061 aluminum. I also used ET Style open ended lug nuts for more thread engagement. Here are the parts I used/recommend:

Forgot to mention, I’m using the 1.5 inch spacers. It was by mistake really, because I initially ordered 1.25 but received 1.5. Anyways, I cleared things up with the seller and ended up keeping and liking the 1.5 inch:thumbsup:

I measured the offset (just with a tape measure) when I got them compared to stock and they were pretty close

Im really liking the stance with the 1.5 in spacers. Im definitely going to have to get some of those, I might go with a 1.25 to keep the tires just in line with the fender flares.

I got the truck lifted this weekend, it is 2.5 in in the front and 1.5 in the back. I also did a diff drop and the brake valve relocation thing. I am really happy with how it looks. I still have to get an alignment done Im guessing but to the naked eye the alignment looks good.

I have been looking at craigslist to see if I can find a good deal on a set maybe with some different rims because I noticed the chrome is starting to peel in places on the stock wheels. When I was doing the diff drop I had the remove the skid plate and because it was so rusty that I didn't put it back on. Anyone know where I can pick up a skid plate for relatively cheap?

Would you be willing to share what products you ended up getting for your lift? That's what I'm looking to do with mine and I'm just starting on research. I saw mentions of towing capacity can be affected. Is there a drastic reduction in towing with the setup you have?

Nice looking truck. I've been running 1.25" wheel spacers for 13 or so years with no issues. Have towed at the truck's limit numerous times without issues. I have hub centric ones, keep em properly torqued. Inspect at each tire rotation.

Welcome from True NorCal, where trucks that nice never go up for sale, and certainly not for that good of a price! If you are like most of us, you will fall in love with your Tundra. Great group here and they know their stuff!
