Looks awesome! I may have to borrow this idea when I install the color matched grille surround, bulge and front bumper ends.

Plasti dip does have it's uses, but I prefer paint or bedliner. The only good thing about dip is that you can remove it "easily".

I agree with you 100% I used the plasty dip on the prior vehicle on the front grill and it lasted for like a year just when it was time to go over it because of the Little Rocks and road debris. it started to becoming a pain because I would have to respray the entire grill.

Did you have to lightly sand the grill?

Looks great! You said no sanding. Did you have to do any special prep before you spray it on? Did you need more than 1 coat?

I put on about 6 to 7 light coats I waited about 15 to 20 minutes in between each spray session . I remove the Toyota emblem out of the grill . I bought two cans of the spray and I used half of each can .. The reason why used half of each can as I noticed it starts to get thick at the end of the nozzle and it would gunk up and it was gunking up from the inside of the nozzle so I just stopped and opened up a new can .

I wonder how well it would stick to chrome.

From what I read with chrome it seems like you have to take a little bit of sandpaper and scuff it up lightly so the spray has something to grab too.

I sprayed bare rock sliders with same stuff and I didn't sand it. It came out ok and stick pretty well. But chrome is different story. I like it and I would like to do the same, just not sure about spraying over chrome without sanding or removing chrome completely. For now I dipped it. :playball:

I wonder how well this stuff would hold up if I sprayed some nerf bars or sliders how long before it starts wearing off?

That I can't answer because I had my rock sliders only for a month or so. But I read that people are pretty happy with it on sliders. Easy to touch up vs powder coating which is hard to repair because it usually breaks by pieces.
