    Cannot 'like' this.
You need to put on Panamera door hinges. They have some odd 'resists wind grabbing' feature. They are very odd to use, but do what they do well. I think you need, but what are the chances of it ever happening again?

Any companies that make a hood glare wrap/sticker.
For the best gen Tundra. Like the picture. I don't want the whole hood done just the middle part.

    Success!

    1) Finally figured out a way to grease the 4wd propellor zerks. Fabbed an extra grease fitting by partially grinding an angle on it to allow the tip to fit that special angle and ‘snap’ on the zerk. Works nicely.

    2) Water proofed the side shield ‘A’ pillar trim grommets using peel and stick tape rather than caulk.

    3) Tightened up hinges by removing pass side door.

    4) Greased entire under-chassis with Moly Lithium Grease. Fabbed a plunger for the box frame up front.

    5) Wiped down the (now turned white) coolant mess I made in the engine bay last week.

Technically speaking, could one disconnect both transmission hoses at the front cooler radiator and perform a ‘total fluid change’ by using the engines/pumps design?

One hose discharging the old into a container. The other hose suction out of a fresh DEXIII jug.

    Feedback from anyone?

Because 8 , agree but my dad bought to tow behind motorhome , last year the trans went out with 68,000 miles .I bought it for 3000.00 and got a trans for 300.00 and put it in . I Will tell you it aint like the ole jeeps, 4x4 transfer case and front differential are pretty light weight looking . Fixin to sell but should make a pretty good profit.

Yes, it's possible. use a scavenge pump to put the fluid back in though.

Really? Toyota transfer cases and transmissions have always come off to me as beefy. Hell the 4 speed trans in the tundra is the same as the Jeep aw4

I posted last week that the seat cover company sent me the wrong seat cover . They informed me on monday they were shopping the correct cover the next day. Well I got it today and it was the same exact one they sent me last week . I texted them thinking they would see first thing monday , well I got a text back saying something about me having to cut the hole where the recline handle goes. WTH has that got to do with anything. The cover they sent is too short on side to even think about cutting a hole for the recline lever. The first pic is my old cover sitting on their incorrect cover . The second pic is what they sent today 120190331_130133.jpg

I read some posts about this a while back . Seems like people do this but you have to pump fluid back in the same rate it comes out .

You're on the right path. The pros use a machine that connects to those hoses and to your trucks battery. Then they fill it with the proper amount of trans oil and turn it on. I'm pretty sure the machine has a pump of it's own, unless the power is just to run the lights and dials on the machine.

Our machine at work doesn’t have a pump for transmissions. Unless it’s a ford the fluid will move through the lines fine.

Drain and fill is better way to do it
    Though. Flush isn’t much better,

I should also mention for @Professional Hand Model that we used to make customers sign waivers if they had over 150k or some shit before we would do a power flush like that because it can stir up metal flake sediment in the pan filter. Also we would run thru all the gears at least 3x. But id recommend doing a drain n fill maybe drive around a few miles and repeat 2 or 3x in a day for effect. Or even just do 1 drain n fill every 3 to 5 oil changes

But the flush is safe-ish for higher mileage vehicles that have always maintained the trans fluid. I did a power flush on my 99 taco at 185k and my 03 taco at 140k and both were fine

Thanks for the reponses everyone. No way to multi-quote everything. It just seems as if the engine and the transmission will do the work for you. Seems like if one hose is dumping dirty and the other is submerged in a jug of clean fluid that the rate of transfer would be the same. A balanced transfer.

The drain and fill is the method I’ll be using. I’ve had the shops do the total fluid exhanges over the years. The last total change by a shop was 10k miles ago and last month I did a 3.5 quart drain and re-fill. This DEXIII is so cheap I’ll just do the drain and fill method every oil change interval (3k miles).

Drain plug drain it. Pull the side fill plug and hand pump in what you drained out. Or, you can use a real long funnel to get into that side fill hole.

I assume this is from the cowl grommet not sealing (this is the passengar side floor liner)? We had a pretty big storm last night and I didn't have the truck under the pole barn as usual... Seems like a lot of water for the cowl issue but thought I'd ask. Water instrusion.jpg

Looks to me like they are sending you cover for a seat with an electric adjust panel on the side vs. looks like you have a manual lever seat. My best guess, manual vs. electric seat issue.

I noticed the same on my truck and I also noticed on my 2000 Tundra which I owned for 16 years. I never did fix it on that truck. What is the fix?

Yep. Thats the cowl leak. It comes down onto the blower motor and rolls along the assy and drips out of the screw mount hole.

Thank you sir. Once my focus is on something, I do not let go until its done right and better than new. Finished up greasing some front end stuff and shot some PB Blaster where the box plunger couldn’t reach. Trying to neutralize any welds and stuff that can’t be seen.

Next step is Ospho the muffler and pipes and spray them with ceramic coating. Next week?

That’s easy... you drain the fluid into a bucket with measurements. Pour the. Same amount back in. (Well pump it in, the fill hole is on the passenger side In front of the transfer case) I think you usually get 3-4 quarts out. Best to do it cold so it’s the same temp as the fluid going in
