My 2002 has a driveshaft dosconnnect. The 2nd owner I bought it from said the 1st owner towed it behind an RV. I don't have any such plans.

Looking forward to 40% longer life blades. Maybe 2 years instead of 1.2 years? Hope I can figure out how to install these. I miss the days of just doing inexpensive refills. Pinch and slide out and slide in.

Oh don’t worry, there’s plenty to go around. I left ruts about 18 inches deep. Almost buried myself, but I was able stop, back up, work the wheels and keep going. The Kumhos kept grabbing. Pretty impressive for such a mild all terrain.

The only downside is that I had to drivento work dirty this morning.

Got in my wheeler's anti-sway kit today. Gonna have to leave the office early to go put this on tonight! Sway bar bushings, bumpstops, and end link bushings. These will replace the bushings that came with my Moog end links I bought. I'll report back how it does. I painted my sway bar so I've had it out for the last week! Holy Body Roll! :burnrubber:

Also I just secured a killer deal from Wheeler's through PM on here for their full Eibach kit pro truck kit. 4 shocks and 2 new springs. Couldn't find a lot of info on it, but seems to me to be a great kit. 2.5" lift on the bottom perch. So the lift is all spring basically. Ordering new top strut mounts, new shock/strut bushings, and new rubber insulators as well. .

I was going to go the coilover route but I don't have a need for that honestly. And this seems like a budget toytec kit. I know the toytec stuff is proprietary with valving and such, but they use Eibach springs. I don't need the threaded adjustment collar that coilovers have. I'll set these up and leave them! Really excited to get everything. Might be a while before I install the Eibach kit though. I think I will wait until I have new UCA's, LBJ's, and LCA's to install all at the same time.

Currently looking at the eibach kits. Mind if I ask how much that ran you?

right now eibach is having a rebate. so jump if you can. I believe it is only good through the 11th though! Normally they are $595, right now they are $535. If you pm Wheeler's I believe they will do free shipping/taxes as well. I took them up on the offer of assembling the struts. Normally I would have passed, but I was going to buy new top plates and insulators anyway. And with the quote I got on assembly it was less than $10 more of what those parts would have cost me, and they are using the exact parts for assembly that I would have purchased. It was a no brainer!

I'm all about getting a deal where I can and going threw reputable companies that support our 1st gens!

Nice touch on the tape over the screw attachment. Bet she is super quiet now. Where are your ‘exhausters’ located on the DC?

Sunnier, if not for this kit , I would have sold this truck. I have a 2012 jeep liberty and paying taxes and Insurance to tow just a few times a year made no sense so I thought I would find a truck that will flat tow ( 4 wheels on ground) and all there is is 4x4 chevy, dodge or some fords with a neutral capable transfer case . After checking on prices I was shocked at what even a used truck with 4x4 cost then I remembered they make this driveshaft disconnect so I chose to fix this ole tundra up and keep it because with this disconnect I can use as tow and daily or weekly truck and sell the liberty.

Probably could have squeaked 18 out like my last long trip, but I had some idle time along with multiple ignition on/off cycles. Had a little head wind on the departing leg, too. All flat driving avgerage speed of 55-60 mph.

Been getting the best mpg’s in years (still sucks) after spending thousands in repairs and DIY work. I think she is fully optimized in the engine/mechanicals right now.

The rear brake adjustments have really firmed up the pedal action. Pedal feels hard about half way down whereas before it was slightly spongey until all the way down to firm.

Braking is the same, but the pedal action is greatly improved. Less effort and range through push.

Two to three clicks per side is the total adjustment made. My drums barely fit before making the adjustments post brake cleaning and drum reinstall. A micro adjustment that makes a huge difference.

Parking brake action is better, but not like when new. Sadly, may have to give up on that fight.

I mean for inside the cab. To allow your cabin to breathe. The AC has them on the back cab wall behind the seats.

Todays warm up starts with piddling around with replacing the cigarette lighter bulb. Remember this is a difficult one. Moving on to removing the side trim windshield bracket pieces and cleaning up the A pillars as the windshield guy did not do for some reason. I want to waterproof those screw holes too.

Moving on then tightening up the pass side door hinge as Mama PHM opened the door hard in a windstorm and bent it. Maybe doing some bending a re-tweaking.
