I want to get a truck bed extender to carry 12’ long, and maybe longer, PT boards. Harbor Freight has this one. Does anyone know if it’s any good?

Great reviews. 239>4.6 out of 5. Saw one where it was used for long kayaks. Another>>>"Really increased the versatility of my Honda Ridgeline " heh.. heh

Yeah, I saw the reviews. Looks pretty good except for some weld issues. I have a friend who’s a great welder so that’s not an issue. And the price is great.

Have your friend touch up the welds if they look iffy. I'm sort of interested.

Those led headlamps are cool but I have two pair of oil field safety rated that go for $150 a pair.

I use the bed extender for my 12 foot kayak, especially since I have a toolbox in the bed. I have used it for about 5 years now specifically for transporting the kayak. I have had no problems with it. Snapchat-1623948313.jpg

I have a harbor freight bed extender and it's worked out pretty well. I use it for a 16' kayak. The welds aren't pretty, but it seems fairly sturdy. I'm not sure i would load it up with too much lumber at one time though.

Nice to have when you can't hold a flashlight. I went to replace the batteries and the cover broke.

I have used mine for years till I got a trailer. It's been banged around and probably overloaded and never had any problems. If you was in Texas I would give you mine. :D

Yeah Matt, I agree that some of their stuff is good. You just have to watch. I’ve bought various things there with good luck. I don’t order off of their site because I always want to see what I buy in case something is of inferior quality. I wanted each of my grandkids to have their own little tool sets for use in my workshop. I picked up everything for them at HF for not a lot of money. Tarps are a good deal there. When I need casters, I buy the cheap wood mover’s dolly and take the casters off of them. It’s cheaper than buying the loose casters. I always use a free coupon when I go there. The free 4-in-1 screwdrivers are handy to have laying around the house. I have the 20% off coupon to use for the bed extender. $48 plus tax out the door is a good price for it.

Hey Wayne, I've got a HF only a couple miles away. Been going there for yrs. I've got so many tarps. ..heh ...and moving blankets that are great for lining the floor of my various tents I have. Got a couple cheap generators too.

I’ve had one for the past few years and it’s held up great. I use it for everything from lumbar to kayaks and paddle boards.
