Has anyone bought one of those Jerry can holders and just bolted it to the box behind the wheel wells? I have 3 wavian style cans I carry, 1 for water and 2 for fuel. Tired of trying to tie em down all the time.

If you wheel hard, these will only last a couple of years. The top piece that holds in the can starts to lose tensile strength and starts to bend. Not sure if they sell a replacement for just those. Mine just fall off now after a short run.

Good to know, glad I didn't buy then yet. What do you have in mind for a better solution?

I’d probably try that Wavian one above. They have a few more nicer more expensive ones on Amazon.

The problem is this little bend. It starts to weaken over time and just doesn’t hold. Anything without that is probably good. I think I’m going to try welding that fold shut.

It's from Costco and comes with a wall mount. I bought some t-slots from Amazon and mounted the included bracket to the bed rail with the t-slots.

Can you do a favour, remove that container and show us what the bottom of that holder looks like? I can't envision what attachment points there are.

4 holes in the base and 4 on each of the sides.

Yeah, as soon as I saw them. The singles are completely different than the doubles; we think they'll be a PITA to get the cans out... like pulling a collectors edition book out of a protective cover. So we'll just strap the heck out of cans for the T2S trip, then I'll decide what to do long-term when we have more time.

My bad for not trying to find a pic before o got em; just assumed they'd be like the doubles.

I have the metal ones and moved to AZ from WA and now the tanks are expanded , I keep them in the bed under a canopy . They are completely sealed. Is it a concern or normal for expansion? Am i suppose to open them and vent it?
