So on my 2005 Grand Cherokee, it took me 2 years to find the stupid little volume button behind the steering wheel. Well... it took me a year to notice this on my truck. Apparently you can rewind on the radio. Replay songs, skip forward, and rewind when you miss something. Whaaaattttt????

    Good info.

I've also noticed that if you are listening to the radio, and you recieve or make a call, use Siri or the voice prompt etc., once you're done it returns you to where you left off in the program/song. Automatic pausing if you will.

I found this too, but in a slightly different context. As I stopped by my favorite coffee drive through, I wanted to mute the radio as I have in previous vehicles. I looked around and didn't see 'mute' anywhere, so I just hit the power off button. When I got home, I was on a mission to figure this out...
Turns out that Toyota uses the 'MODE/HOLD' for this purpose. Press it and it changes the audio MODE; press and hold to mute or pause the current operation. When you press and hold again, it returns to where you left off as in the OPs 2nd picture above. Then, you can leave it alone, forward, fast forward or return to LIVE. For those who want to know more, I found this in the Navigation System Owners Manual, page 111 under Audio Controls (I have the Premium Entune system in my Platinum Edition Tundra).

I have electronic versions of the Owners Manual and Navigation Manual and just search for the specific thing I am trying to figure out. Usually on a mission when this happens! But even if I read the whole manual or two, I'd probably forget what I read (now where did I see that?). Lol! Search is my friend...

    I love technology.
Since my wife is a doctor, she likes to say she has "brain power". As we all married guys know, sometimes we have to put our women in their place in a fun way!

Wife and I are going down to New Orleans for a nice day in the Quarter. She's playing with the radio (forget driver control privileges when you're with your wife!) i decide to mess with her and start changing channels, messing with volume controls from my steering wheel every time she touches the knobs. She gets to the point where she gets pissed off and tells me the radios broken (after a good 15 minutes). I tell her to use her "brain power to figure it out" and points to my steering wheel controls. For the next 20 minutes she refuses to talk to me LOL

    I love technology.

That's wild, can't wait to mess with it, does it do it with FM and XM?

You know I heard that radio stations were going to try this NEW technology several years ago but just haven't seen it in action. I am not sure if it is still unproven tech and that's why stations haven't yet gone to this broadcasting method or if it could be an added cost on their end...? But either way it's pretty cool.

Have you noticed it on All radio stations or just one or a select few?

Watching my wife trying to get in my 4runner. She would unlock it with the keyfob and just as she would grab the door handle, I would re-lock it with my keyfob from the living room window. Did this at least 7 or 8 times before she saw me standing there. Good stuff. Technology is great........when it works in your favor

Yes technology is great. My girl takes forever getting out of the truck (for reasons I will never understand) so I like to hit the lock button on the keyfob while the door is open and make her listen to the annoying ass chime until she finally gets out and closes the door.
