Paint calipers?

I’m looking to paint my calipers but unsure what color. My wheels don’t show the silver calipers very much but I think a pop of color would show up. I’m thinking yellow or red.

I think anything but red you wont really see been thinking about doing the same to my truck but I'm quicksand, black wheels, blue king suspenson, and soon to be red trd sway bar in the back...conflicted

 

I’m conflicted as well. I painted yellow on a previous vehicle and thought it looked good.

 

But conflicting also is that you can see them well with those wheels not so much on your truck. I would probably just leave them and put some time and money into something else for the truck . I said red because it would match the truck when you can see them.

 

Yellow would work too, get into the kids school supplies and cut out a yellow piece of construction paper and stuff it back there...see how it looks

 

When you're runnin down the road I would think they would be more visible, no?

Ive painted calipers red on a couple vehicles and it does look awesome but you do end up needing to clean and repaint after awhile from all the brake dust and dirt. I probably wont both on my next vehicle.

Black unless you can match the red on your truck...but I am kinda OCD with things and two different shades of red is no bueno.

 

Red, I changed my front grill and wife did not notice, she noticed red calipers in 5 secs. Paint kit was recommend by someone here.

 

I agree, I have a Magnetic Red Corvette and wanted to paint the calipers, but I can't bring myself to do red caliper paint on a Maroon car.

 

Definitely paint! I think the yellow would stick out but not be an eye sore. Red is always a safe choice, will still be noticable, however may get drowned in all the red with the truck.

 

It didn’t actually. I left it out for 2 really warm days but it’s still got water inside. I’m leery about using a hair dryer or heat gun to dry it

 

That’s honestly why I was thinking yellow in first place. I think the red looks better but I wasn’t sure it would be close to same as red on the truck

I usually say red, but since you have a red truck I say black or silver. Definitely Not yellow with a red truck. agreed with previous post. It will look like Mcdonalds truck. just my worthless $.02

Can i just buy caliper spray paint and spray away as long as I cover rotors and stuff or do I actually need to take them off?

 

Definitely red.they will look good against the red paint on the truck. I should know.
