Fought it on a F150. First I tried shocks. No help. Eventually I discover the lower ball joints were shot. Who would have thunk it at 40k. Of course it was a Ford. Best part was I called a Ford service manager and he says "you are lucky to make it to 40k most go bad at 25k". It was at that moment that I decided I was never buying another Ford truck. I was trying to remember what I responded with. I think it was "you have to be f%*king kidding me".

    Lost track after #1.
Tire pressure could be too low.

As others said the suspension components like ball joints can come into play. Are you rotating at the proper mileage. I do about every 5000 miles when I change my oil. Were your old tires cupping? If not, it’s possible they botched your alignment. Where did you have it done? Some places just suck. I went to an off-road shop who specialized in alignment. I had to pay good money for it but it was done right.

The trouble with cupping is it can be caused by different things, and I think once it is present on a tire the wear pattern just continues even if you fix the cause.

I had it before, thought it was shocks and rebuilt them. Changed lower ball joints too, it still kept going. I think it could have been lower arm bushings all along but not sure. I've replaced everything on my front end now and got new tires and alignment so hopefully it's gone now.

I think a lot of people forget about the lower a arm bushings. Seems like the alignment shop will pull everything into spec, but then it’s kind of a bullshit spec because the bushings are shot.

My tired worn front end messed up some new tires a few years ago. You could see right away on the new tires the wear pattern was starting out bad.

Just had the front end rebuilt and the new tires wear pattern looks even. Same brand/size Michelins.

Not sure what to say as it could be a number things making your tires cup.

The big issue is hair in the face. Or if you flip around it kinda de-masculates you. Oh wait, that's spooning. Cupping? I thought that happens when you dont have enough air in your tires. What if you go over on the psi, more towards the upper range or a bit over?

I will have to try everything in order to see what fixes it, in order to save my new tires,
