I installed their starter packaged in December last year so about 4 months. I sound deaden all the doors and back bed panel. I have front image dynamics components and rear coaxial. I have 1 12inch image dynamic sub in the tt box. Also have the amp and harnesses with stock head. I think it sounds amazing. Crisp highs and nice low base tones. I have the sub controller knob just under half so maybe 40% and it hits. Not something that is going to vibrate the car next to me but that's not what I wanted. Very clear and loud(enough for me). I can roll the windows down on the highway turn it up and hear it very well. I like it a lot and dont regret using taco tunes.

I am definitely looking forward to your headunit review. I too like the idea of a tablet style hu
    Thanks for being the tester.

man, all this beautiful work on your system and a $400 deck from Amazon that you don’t even get to demo? Gotta be honest, that’s a head scratcher but best of luck.

You could always return it. $400 isn't anything to scoff at. You can get the Tesla style for $550. I really love the size of the Dasaita and I think it would fit in the tundra nicely.

You’re right, but when you’re putting together a very expensive sound system and your hu is the cheapest part, which you’re mainly buying because of looks, that makes some of us scratch our heads. I’ve got a nearly identical system and my hu was north of $1500 and I don’t regret it for a second, it’s the one part of your system that is seen and touched daily. I’ve only ever seen terrible reviews for these tablet styles, somebody was even giving away the Tesla style awhile back ~ software issues...

Amazon and AliExpress have great buyer protection so I’m not too worried. Yes, I can return it if the product doesn’t work or not as described. I ordered it yesterday through AliExpress since it’s cheaper there. I might be the first one on this forum to try to install it on the Tundra.

I agree with you that the Tesla unit has a lot of problems which is why I am not going with that HU. I’ve read a lot of reviews on the Dasaita HU and they are mainly positive reviews. What HU did you get that is $1500? Alpine Halo9?

Pioneer 8200nex, 1.5 years ago...they’re cheaper these days but that was top of the line then and still near the top today I believe

Nice, eventually we’re all gonna have these in our trucks, just needs to be some consistency and it would be nice if the big boys would jump into the game. What I’m trying to convey here is that these things may be the bees-knees with everything you need, but if something as simple as the touch screen is lacking and acts more like a gps touch screen than your phone, that would be something difficult to deal with every single time you’re in your truck. That’s really one of the main differences between a very pricey pioneer and their lower priced models...touch screen responsiveness

Dude I am so excited to see your review on this, cause I really want one now. Did you buy the tundra double din trim piece too? I took measurements yesterday in my truck and it looks like it'll fit perfectly between the vents above the AC controls etc...

Yes, Dasaita plug and play harness with canbus. Also the gps adapter and I believe the mic adapter for the tesla style head unit. I’ll post all the links later to what I got.

I also got the CarPlay adapter

Yes I did. There is plenty of room for you to roll it. Not too difficult

Here is the link to the HU.

Let me know if the link works. Guys, I’m sure the HU will work just fine but I don’t suggest any of you to buy it now. Let me test it first.

It didn't work but I'm guessing this is it? Id assume to upgrade to 8 cores and the built in DSP? Takes it to just under $400

Amazing!!! The wiring harness says "with JBL" was your tundra a JBL? Mine is not. Also doesnt say tundra on it. But Im assuming since they spec'd it it'll work.

Mine is not JBL but Dasaita said it should work with most Toyota vehicles. Yes, Tundra is not on that list but it should work. They asked for a photo of the back of the stock head unit to confirm. The description should have said “support JBL system” not with JBl system

Look what came in today. This has to be the fastest shipment I’ve received from China. 3 days from door to door. I will be doing the install and testing this weekend. Stay tuned.
