Well guys. After a beautiful 2017 Tundra CrewMax that some of you have seen on here, I sold that stupidly. Got an Audi. Then I just got myself (will arrive next week) a 2019 Tundra Crewmax Limited Cement Off-road.

Will keep stock mostly besides tires and camper. I am very comfortable with the bilstein 4600's and only want more protection from rocks, etc tire wise. Any suggestions on best E rated, lighter weight 275/65/18 tire? Do any of you think I can squeeze a 275/70/18 under there? Looking at Duratrac or Cooper At3 LT/X if 275/70/18.

Down the road I may put on the BP51 but who knows.. I like the stock-ish look.

Welcome back. Trading in the Audi for the Tundra?

Kept the Audi. May sell, may keep. Trade in is horrible, so will have to go private party route if I do sell. I enjoy driving the Audi around town though.

Welcome. I recently put the 275/70/18 Cooper At3's on stock TRD Sport suspension and had no rubbing at all. Then I installed Bilstein 6112's last week at the 1.9" level and got rubbing at full turn both directions. Funny because I always expected the lift to give more clearance, but it looks like it brought the skid plate right up the center/widest part of the tire. Just took the skid plate off and trimmed about 1/2 inch of both sides - all better. Love the tires though. I went up to Lake Tahoe for a week in the snow right after install and they performed great.

Thank you! Yea I roam Tahoe a lot from Reno. Did you notice any downsides to the tires over the michelin's? I may just go stock size but in those tires. Seems like a nice compromise.

Only downside was MPG. I didn't have the stock ones long enough to know exactly what I've lost - but I believe 1-1.5MPG. The larger tires came with the higher rated sidewalls and added a lot of weight. But they look great, ride great, and chicks dig em;)

I had the KO2's on my old Suburban and the tire shop I go to swears by them, but the Coopers were cheaper and I believe have better traction on wet pavement. I can't be certain though - very different vehicles.

Enjoy your new truck - I know I am loving mine.

Edit: Re-read your question - not about size of tires but performance. I came from 20's and the 18's ride much better IMO. No negatives though.
