Best grille for cooling/airflow

This article about the new Jeep pickup got me thinking. What grille do you guys think would be best for getting the most air to the cooling system? I currently have the grille below and was wondering if there is an easy, effective replacement. Seems like those solid horizontal bars would really impede airflow.

 

Uhhhmmm...Trying to convince yourself or your wife that you need a TRD Pro grille for improved cooling? It is true that the TRD Pro grille only has ONE horizontal bar, and all that open space around it.

I just read that same article. Really interesting. Made me think about stuff I've always just taken for granted. I can't stand plastic grills and stock bumpers and usually make my own...but I never really worried THAT much about openings, didn't realize how tight the engineering actually was on them.

 

The most airflow? Remove grill entirely. Then you run the risk of debris poking holes in your wallet

 

A mesh aftermarket grill would probably give you the best airflow and protection.
