Hi all! I'm looking for advice and joining the going broke club on '18 SR5. You know how you don't think you'll miss something until you need it. Looking for autodim rearview that doesn't cost an arm, leg, and first born.

    Also rear window defogger options.

Thanks and looking forward to advice.

Hi Todd! Check out Cipa and Gentex rear view mirrors. Cipa is available with just auto dimming (36200), auto dimming with compass and temp(36400) or auto dimming, compass, temp and map lights (36500). They're on Amazon for $120 to about $180. The Gentex is available with the same features but they also offer homelink if you want the ability to control your garage doors thru the mirror as well. I've seen the auto dimming with homelink on Amazon for around $250. Installation is pretty simple. Both use the stock wedge mount but both will need to be wired. Wiring is easy, ignition power and ground and if you get one with temp there are two wires that need to be run out to the grill where the temp sensor would get mounted.

Make sure to just look at mirrors. Don’t start looking into wheels, suspension, 35s, racks, lights, recovery gear etc... :anonymous:
