so I checked my VIN and I’m part of the service campaign! I watched the video on Tundradude34 and it looks like mine has no air vent on the TSS.....so it gets the fix. The fix is EVT foam tape on the back.

Problem is that I have an 2018 with a 2017 Pro grille and a relocation bracket....doh! That means the dealer won’t touch it! I ordered some EVT foam tape and will seal it myself. I’ll update with results.

If they are saying it’s the sensor itself, then the grille and relocation bracket shouldn’t matter.

The solution may interfere with the mounting to the bracket....but I think I can get it to work. First pic is Toyota solution. Second pick is my relocated sensor. I should just plastidip the back of my sensor!

Wow! That’s a professional solution? Looks like shit. Hopefully it’s a temporary solution till new sensors are made. After a harsh winter and lots of car washes that doesn’t look like it’s going to last.

It sounds like there is a new sensor but you only get that one if you’ve had problems. If you don’t have problems, you get that patch job.

If there is no air vent...what is foam tape going to accomplish???

Sounds like there’s water penetration regardless. Just faster if you have a vent.
