But then you’ll be complaining about weak payload capacity, lack of ‘technology’, and how you got a little boo boo scratch in the parking lot with 247 sympathy replies on your thread.

Save that OEM front bar and put it back on later. No need for a Hellwig purchase as the OEM front one is plenty hefty. The shop that rebuilt my front end put some stout new links on the front sway. Not sure of the brand but they are are much beefier than what I remember the OEM links being.

Rubber bushings seem fine to me as I’ve no experience with the poly ones. Poly seems like they’d be too stiff. Not really sure bud.

Got drivers seat cover in today, partially installed , pic shows it mounted to seat cushion . Theres three rods that are threaded through several hog nose rings to attach to cusion PITA !20190330_212219.jpg Should tighten up when cushion is installed back in seat because there are several hold downs around perimeter when fully installed.

Was reading up in the Service Manual for the 02’ and there is no recommendation on fuel filter interval changes. Zero. Whats up with that?

Eyeing a new fuel filter and radiator cap (this current cap has 40k on it).

Any suggestions on the filter? Thinking of just reusing the OEM bracket and swapping in an aftermarket filter.

Closer to done. Would be done if my bearing for the tensioner pulley would come in and if my parts department didn’t order me 2 left side valve cover gaskets...[IMG]

Let us know how those green pads are. I had yellows on my truck and hated them, they never stopped squealing. I have red ones on my GTI and they're great, although they make a lot of dust. I've been curious about the greens.

Notice EBC pads smell really strong? o_O

While you've got things kinda opened up, if you have a moment to take photos of what the P/S lines do after they drop down from reservoir. they go down &... Well I just can't seem to see what's going on between angles & lighting & copious leaked p/s fluid. It looks like one of the lines goes down & splits in two directions (fore & aft), but surely that can't be right???

I have a question. Why did it not roll on the rotor? Why did it fall and just eat the rotor? And how long did it ride on the rotor to eat away that much?

Big line should go to the pump, then pump has a small line that comes out and goes to the rack, rack then has a small line that comes out to the res. If yours is leaking I would suggest trying new clamps on the return and feed line.. 80% of the time that’s the leak.

Oh I cut mine open. It’s definitly a filter. A massive filter. Lol the sock in the tank collects the big gunk that finds its way into the tank.

Hell new Toyota’s only have the sock now

The 00-04 trucks do indeed have an actual frame mounted fuel filter and the in tank filter. I'm assuming this is because they still used a steel fuel tank.

05-06 trucks only have the in tank filter and I believe have plastic tanks.

I wouldn't lose sleep over either. I've had to change a few pumps in different vehicles and as long as the tank itself isn't rusting on the inside there isn't any debris to be seen.

Like empty lord says. Try some stainless snake clamps from big box store. I’ll post up a pic of mine later today when the sun comes up. Solved the low pressure (small hose coming out of reservoir) side leaks with 2 snake clamps. Added one clamp at the big hose (high pressure) at the reservoir.

Save your existing clamps just in case. Keep them on the hose, but move them over adjacent to the new snake clamp. Pics later.

Today is top off coolant levels after the overnight sit. Might blow out some of these vapor? lines leading into the manifold. Specifically, the one going to the power steering pump.

Probably because the rotor isn't meant to hold weight like that so when the assembly fell, it fell hard and I was going 50mph. I probably went like 100-200 feet? I really don't know. Everything happened so fast and I checked all around me to make sure I had space to do whatever I needed to get off the road. Then I tried tracking the tire to see if it hit anybody but I lost it. Then a street came up for me to turn on so I turned. So I really can't tell you how far I rolled, but it was awhile. I ground down the lbj bolt too.

Maybe, you hit the brakes after the initial horror of seeing your tire rolling next to you at 50mph which caused the rotor to stop and thats the reason for the flat spot.
