    I hate to beat a dead horse on air pressure,but I can’t find the Proper air pressure on LT 275/70R/18 on the new BF KM3’s.Mud terrains.
    Discount set them at 40 and when I asked them where they came up with that they couldn’t provide information. So I emailed BF and it took them a couple of days to reply and they said 40 should be right. So I was wondering if that guy was just going off of that because I told them discount said that. Well today I called BF and I didn’t say anything about what discount did and they told me the pressure should be 50 in all fours. So I’m very confused on what to set it at. Any one else have KM3’s? It’s a double cab Trd pro

    Toyota says 46 in KO2s but I run 50. I think in 10 plys 50'is right. I would put 50 in and run chalk test. One reason I run 50 is I tow a 5000 lb boat.

    Out the door 1350 at discount. I got them last week. I had the ko2 before and those were great. The km3 track good and to my surprising are very quiet. I think there going to be awesome. Going to big bend ranch state park this weekend to see how they handle off road. Can’t wait.

    Got them in January, wear is perfect. Mine are 35/12.50 R17 though, but would probably run the same pressures with your size. I am more than impressed, got some hard off-road miles on them and they are perfect. There is a noticeable improvement in off-road handling, and durability comped to my previous Toyo RT’s.

    those KM3s are on top of my list. I say run them at 40 ish psi. 50 seems high

    Don’t go by what other says. Measure it for yourself to make sure it’s the correct pressure. Pressure will change based on tire, weight, vehicle load out, alignment, etc. Goal is to have the best contact patch and even wear. Do this with a chalk test. Or if you’re fancy, a pyrometer probe.

    YouTube the tire pressure chalk test. It will give you a good how-to properly set tire pressure using chalk.

    Last time you said that it cost me a ton. But, so far I'm really pleased with your recommendation on these KM3s. I drove with them in the rain today. (note: KM3s don't have siping) I don't mean, "oh, look the road is damp." Solid sheet of water on a winding mountain road type rain and they seemed great but I didn't push 'em hard.
    I'm currently running mine at 40psi.

    I have that same size lt275/70r18 tires. Try 40psi front and rear unloaded or light load. 40psi front & 43psi rear when hauling heavy loads.

    I was running around the 36's right after getting them mounted. Upped the psi to 40's and felt a bit better with the take offs and not as sluggish. Sidewall usually shows it's max psi rating, I believe mines showed 40max depending on size and load range. The KM3's feels great at 40 for me on the road and even gain 1.5mpg haha! 37's Load Range D. Just gotta play with the psi a bit more on the deflating part while getting on the dirt/mud, seems like 20psi didn't cut it well.

    I just got another reply from bf that said 50 should be correct psi for highway driving. I air down when hitting the trail.

    Thanks, don't like it too much as they have never given a proven tow rating on that hitch. So my trust on actually using that hitch is really low since I got it. The side plates that mounts to the frame is really short compared to the stock one, so that right there off the back tells me the tow rating is very very low and minimal. I'm going to be working with a friend to fab a rear bumper somewhat similar and utilizing the stock side mounting plates to support a bit more for towing when needed.

    I’m having a hard time understanding why you would need more air pressure in an E rated tire if the truck is unloaded, than you would with a P metric tire when the truck is unloaded. The E rated tires have stiffer side walls, so it seems under typical daily driving conditions, you would want a little less air pressure to keep the ride nice. So I would go from running 36–38 psi in my P metric tires to running 50 psi in an E rated tire? Sounds like driving on a set of bricks.

    Yeah I tried it at 50 to see how the ride was and it was a little stiffer. I’m going down to 42 in the front and 45 in the rear and see how that is.

    I run them at 50 psi and that seems to be a good fit for me.

    Did you pull the liners out of the rear wheel wells? I've rubbed 'em with 35s and I know they're not gonna work the way are with the new tires. Wondering if I should try reforming with heat or just remove?

    Liners are still on both rear and fronts. Going to remove them soon. Trying to find a way to have some kind of liner up front just along the fender and cab section. Thanks! Yours looks better and faster!

    Passenger front literally opens a can of worms when the liner is removed. The intake is then wide open to debris. I just came in the house from installing this:

    I have the same thought process as well. I ran 38 front and rear on my E rated Ridge Grapplers(295/70R18)....rode well and tire wear was linear.

    Obviously if you’re going to go for max load that the tire allows, then you would want them pumped up. It seems like since people realize how high the max pressure is that they feel the need to be close to it at all times. I don’t agree. Keep an eye on tire wear and temperature. Obviously if the tire is getting hot, it’s under inflated as well as awkward tire wear.
