This might be a long shot, but I'm between a rock and a hard place...quite litterly.

If you know of anyone or have your FEL....looking to hire you to make a really big rock into small ones.

    Area is 10-15' x 25-35'

Rent a tractor and I'm sure you'll have a line of Tundra guys out the door wanting to smash rocks with it. Myself included haha

I shouldn't need blast blankets or dirt cover, so it should blast pretty good.

Oh I have used those hydraulic hammers with good luck. The guy doing the job for me doesn't have one or probably doesn't want to use one (hard on hydraulics).

I will get some quotes on blasting, but if they are $6-10K, I have a feeling a backhoe with a hydraulic fracture head will be used. I can get both for 1500.00 per week.

Not sure how well this hammer will work though. It has been a little while since being on a Cat Backhoe, and the spot that needs to be cleared out is rather large. If pulling 10-12 hour days for a week, might be able to pull it off.

Drill a hole. Stick of explosives, det cord......green hand with shovel for aftermath? I can't imagine you need approval for that in Colorado. Or rent a portable rock crusher, or hire a company with a rock crusher.

You are making too much sense. No fun in that. (By the way, I know someone in Drain ,Ore that could rent a rock crusher. Really)

So here are some more pics of what I need done. Looking at this, a bigger backhoe should do the trick.

The tree and corner that is blocking the Excavator needs to go. However, this is where the huge rock starts.

    A41737F7-AE2C-40A7-8957-C5EFD89B27FD_zps_f69c350445b0069898b7f15c512a2c2ef22aa400.jpg

By taking out this corner, it does open up the property a bit (good and bad I guess) and lets me keep some good views.

That is what I am dealing with Matt, just on a grander scale.

We looked for months to find that property. It really wasn't on the market, but we offered cash and they took it.

I'm thinking you did real good. (bout time). Seriously, very nice piece of property. Nice.. Keeper type property, as in grand kids pass it on property.

That's a gorgeous area of Colorado. My nephew has a house down by larkspur with a nice piece of land. I might move to that are in 7 years when I retire. I am moving back to my home state for sure just not sure where. You have an awesome piece of land there! My nephew is in construction. I will ask him if he knows anyone that could help with that.
