I bought the aluminum oil filter housing from Amazon and the drilled out center tube is a lot shorter than the original. Is that going to be a problem? Want to know if anyone has one on their vehicle and if it was the same size as the original? Thanks. 13FA94AB-8776-450B-AC15-707CDC2D1C7E.jpg

You have to change it out to the longer one from your plastic filter.

I bought the same thing, just take the longer one and it will snap out ( from the plastic housing) and replace the shorter with the longer one.
    No big deal

    None yet

There are some tabs on the Inside of the tube that you can bend and then push down and twist out and place into new aluminum housing
