Haven’t read through the thread but was a part of the last group buy. It was 70 in Denver today which meant... yep you guessed it 5 windows down baby! Absolutely love my system, only complaint I have is I didn’t get a sticker. (That or I’m dumb and missed it which is a strong possibility!)

Ya that looks pretty simple. Im going to skip the resonator install for probably a week just to see the difference in noise. After watching all the videos posted on this forum with nonresonator vs resonator on, i know it doesn’t give it justice.

I’m also going to wait before I decide to add the resonator. Like you, I’ve listened to a few videos with and without the resonator, but can’t really tell a difference. I’m sure there is one when you listen to it in person, though.

Took me 24min laying on the ground under the truck, super easy. like Keith's video, hit the rubber hangers with WD40 and use the claw hammer. Leave the resonator off for a few hundred miles, the system will break in and change its toon. My 8" was quieter than i had expected when i first drove it around the block but opened up after a few days of driving and is awesome. Still have yet to put the resonator on but plan to, i do a good bit of highway driving and it does have some drone between 1800 and 2100 rpms on the highway. if i didn't talk on my phone all day over Bluetooth i would probably leave it off but im about half deaf to begin with so hard to hear rolling down the highway for me.

Guess it would be nice to know, before I get mine in. Is anything extra needed with the exhaust? Gasket or anything?

Received in mail today and installed earlier. Hardest part was installing the new exhaust and getting it to line up on the hangars. However it sounds good, did a drive on the freeway, around town for about 15 minutes. Will definitely be installing the resonator this weekend.

You can cut the whole in resonator with a 2” hole saw that connects to a drill. I’m installing mine without resonator for at least a few weeks to see how it sounds.

You can buy a 2” hole saw adaptor or borrow one from a friend and it would be way cheaper than taking to a shop.

I bought a Milwaukee hole dozer from Home Depot for like $12. And Keith designed it where you can drill it with the tailpipe talk installed. So it should be crazy easy.:thumbsup:

Stainless is the best option. Stainless will outlast your truck. Keith explained to me that even though the roads here in SC are not salted very much, humidity builds up in exhaust and will rust aluminized steel over time. For the extra $100 it’s money well spent!
