Been thinking of picking up these tail lights and curious how they are from those who have them? Is the light output significantly better, or is it only a cosmetic look that is better? From what I can tell, it uses the existing reverse light; is that correct and does it use any other existing bulbs? What other wiring does it take?

I've also heard these do not fit as flush to the truck as the factory. What is your opinion on that? Does it still look right, does it bug you?

Found them on CarID the cheapest so far. http://www.carid.com/2016-toyota-tundra-taillights/spyder-fiber-optic-tail-lights-54137398.html

It only uses the reverse bulbs. The rest are just plug and play for led. Looks pretty bright to me. I also have a LED for my reverse bulbs
They don't sit perfectly flush, but pretty close. The lights (like stock) are sealed anyways but water will still get behind them (just like it does on factory)

Wes, when I first got mine I thought they might look alittle bit to ricey for me. After installing them they quickly grew on me. Like Sean said fitment is decent but not quite as tight as the OEM lamps. Reverse lights will need to be upgraded to LED's but that's simple enough to do. LED strip bar is bright enough in the dark, but is hard to see in the daylight. Brake lights and turn signals are bright enough to be easily seen during the day.

As for color choice ... It's all a personal taste thing. I liked the black ones since I believe they match the front ones best.

Yeah, I'd for sure want something black or dark for sure since all the other accents on my truck will be black. I'm on the fence with buying all new LEDs to upgrade the factory or just buying something like these Spyder tail lights.

I had originally thrown out the idea of these tails until I saw Sean's and was sold. The ones you posted pics of look ricey as hell. The smoked ones that Sean have look almost the a retrofitted OEM tail, IMO, which I like.

@Sean266 do you have the red smoke or the black smoke. Appears yours are red smoke as they kinda have a red tint.

As I said in post #7, I felt they were alittle ricey at first. But once they went on and I saw how they worked, I got over that feeling quickly. Are they for everyone??? Probably not ...

Those look ricey as hell ... Lol.

Honestly, if your afraid of how people might feel about any of these you're better off doing a retrofit because even the front Spyders have a slight ricey feel to them. Maybe if the LED strips were clear like the the Halo's on my BMW instead of the glow in the dark material that the Spyders use.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Spyders ... Just think Spyder could make them even better.

I bought the smoking deal from Sean. Made a rookie mistake during install and crossed red and black. After replacing 2 Fuses, one in the cabin and one in the hood compartment, all is well. Thanks Sean for the hookup.

I was just looking to see if there was anything different out there besides the Spyder. Those seem to be the only ones.

I just got a pair of the Spdyer black taillights for my 2016 Tundra TRD Pro and when I went to install them I found the connecters do not match. Anyone else have this problem?
