Next thing on my list of mods is to install my LCA skids from victory 4x4 and remove that shit plastic bedliner and POR-15 the top and under part of the truck bed. Lifted a piece of it and noticed paint missing a some surface rust.

Playing around with some ideas to hold spare tire on top of cover and road shower is next. Going to put a third rail towards the back and mount it on top of the strut then raise the maxtrax as high as possible so the shower still gets sun. Then paint strut and bolts. I may take it all off though. Not sure how good it is for the bed to be all caged up like that. Strut doesn’t flex easily. What do you think? Good or bad idea? Roadshower added and grabbed some almond wood. Adding the cross struts made the rear deal more rigid. Could be my imagination but seems like the rear is way stiffer now. 5E4C035E-C0A7-4DCD-9FEF-E181AB3F7E66.jpg5CD218F1-09D0-4680-8B1C-D88EFB18FA27.jpg0B270AD8-827F-40D9-B08C-FB42ECA66031.jpg

Thank you. Took me 4 years and I’m still not done. It’s almost how I want it, but lacking funds to finish. Have to save up for a while for the next mods.

Thank you. I’ve been a member for a while now. Wish I could move this thread to the 3rd gen builds. Don’t know how though.

Very dim but you get used to it. I like them though. Sometimes I regret them when I need to look for something. I end up using my cellphone flashlight. The dim light is not bothersome when the wife needs some light while I’m driving.

Wow that’s one fine looking rig. I’m envious do your road trip. I have two small ones at home and I live on an island 2500 miles from anywhere both of which tend to be limiting factors for toad trips. I’ll just live vicariously through this board...
