This is my only hold back from purchasing this kit from Matt. I run stock wheels now and I know I would have resi contact. If they (ADS/MCM) could offer a 0 offset resi option or a external option I’d be all over it.

No, there's no way you're gonna "tie" 'em in place. The potential for a problem is there. When installing you want to clcle the suspension and make sure the bypass tubes are oriented correctly. You also want to be sure the the bolts for retaining clips in the leaf pack are correct, nut toward spare tire (I've seen 1 set fail this way. This was really a stupid mistake by the installer, he then blamed ADS). Once you're sure the bypass tubes are oriented correctly (It's the banjo brake bolt that they can hit) tighten the upper nut....Tight.
I've run 'em for quite a while now w/o any problem and they're awesome.

    A 0 offset yields more space for the bypass, I'm running a + 18.

I ultimately want to stick with my stock wheels but looks like a +18 is gonna give me more clearance to fit a bypass back there. Still undecided on which route I need vs. want.

what 831 said, not way to tie in place. my only contacting point was the leaf pack. But since I caught the problem, I have not had one since.Ive not had any wheel issues with rub, I run 37x13.5r17 with a +25 offset and 8.5" wide tire.

I wouldn't throw out the custom option from king either. ADS is great. But if i were to do it again. I'd want to go with the aftermarket top cap and rod ends and external res. My top seized and I had to grind the bolt out to replace it. Also I live in snow country, so the rod end Is getting a bit weathered. Just to give ya some pros and cons

    (KING OR ADS aftermarket)

I run the same M/T setup. Kings coilovers and ADS rear bypasses. +1 on cycling the rear for potential rubbing

Yeah, and really it's just the passenger side that has an issue.
The ADS bypass shocks are game changers, totally worth it. I'll never run a smooth body on a truck again, even if it's a street queen.

For sure pair them with k37’s Or u748’s from MCM. Don’t forget shackles too. You will gain extra travel if you buy MCM spec leafs and ADS bypasses.

Hooked up king 2.5 resi up front, 3.0 triple by pass in rear yesterday. Once I can get sideways with it I’ll let you know how it does. Secondaries coming to that front with bump stop on rear this summer...

Headstrong Off road had the best pricing when I ordered my ADS setup. King 3.0 bypasses upfront, 2.5 ADS reservoirs in the rear.

Digging up an old thread here - how has this set up worked for you.

Can you give me some input because I’m back to thinking this is the route I want to go right now. Eventually will step up to 3.0’s in the front and leaning heavily towards ADS. Matt has been super helpful with me and patient while communicating. I’m as indecisive as a 15 year old trying to pick out their outfit to sleep in.

I think Matt (@GodlessPro) is running ADS 3 Ohhs up front.
I loved my ADS setup. I ran 2.5s w/ 700lb spring. One of the best things about it were the UCAs. Matt (MCM) has the geometry nailed IMO. I ran 4-4.5* of caster (the sweet spot IMO) 0* camber and as little toe as I could get. If I were staying MT I would talk to Matt about revalving the C/Os and adding a bypass up front. But I kinda drive it like I stole it off road so my needs/wants aren't the same as some folks. I would consider, if starting from scratch, installing 3.0 bypasses in the rear but 2.5s have honestly been sufficient. If the shaft size is the same 3.0 might not be worth it to me.

How did the ADS 2.5 triple bypass handle for you paired with the Kings in the front?

It's not really a fair comparison anymore. The rear is great, but it's MT (+/- 12" of travel) The front is now LT with C/O and bypass (+/- 16" of travel). So, the rear is kinda "out gunned" now and needs to be upgraded to keep up with the front. Honestly, I don't think it matters whether you buy King, Fox or ADS as long as it's specifically for our trucks and optimizes the available travel. I know Matt did a lot of R&D on the setups for our trucks. I'm not sure Fox or King the same.:notsure:

I appreciate the input. I’m headed to Vegas in two weeks for our bowling leagues sweeps and planning to pick up the bypasses from him and then get back down to so cal and pick up the deavers on will call and get the process started.

I’m going to run the king’s In the front and see how they work paired together and go from there. Maybe swap to the 2.5 ADS’s for the front once some funds clear up. My OCD will kick in eventually if they aren’t matched.

I've got the ADS triple bypass shocks and they are REALLY noisy. I'm not sure the adjustability was worth the constant rattling given that this is my daily driver. Also, ADS support is not very good. I've contacted them numerous times and only a couple of times have they actually replied. When I asked follow-up questions I got crickets. I wouldn't recommend them at this point TBH.

MCM Fab. He put together a package for me based upon what I thought my needs were going to be at the time and has been better at supporting them than ADS has. Matthew is a good dude.
