Guys I’m new and looked for a couple of hours on levels and lifts and ended up confusing myself on what I’m looking for so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking to add a level lift to my 2017 Toyota Tundra 4x4. I’ve gotten some very responsible prices because I’m not looking to break the bank.
I’m currently looking at a readylift which is a lift of 3in in front and 2in in back. ($525+tax installed) And another option is a procomp lift of 3in in front and 2in in back.
    (450+tax installed)

I work on farms and ranches and use my truck heavily off road and hauling trailers, hunting equipment, boat, campers, equipment, and anything else as needed. Truck sees a ton of mud, sand, rough terrain so don’t want to install a giant lift to see it wear out plus don’t want a running start to get into my truck hence I’m wanting the level lift for more ground clearance.

Welcome from Waxahachie, just south of Dallas. With that much hauling and towing off-road, I’d skip the spacer lifts and go with quality coilovers up front and quality shocks in the back. I’d also keep it at no more than 2.5” of lift up front to avoid the extra expense of aftermarket upper control arms. The UCAs will help better align the front if going up to 3”.

I’d give Toytec a call and tell them what you want and how you use your truck. I believe you can find their contact info in the Vendor subfolder.

So been looking into other options on coil overs etc another level idea of 2.5 in front and 1.5 in back. Wondering if that might make a difference and what would that look like more or less or what the tundra sits level and lifted at?

I'd look more into coilovers vs spacer lifts. Better ride and some are even adjustable. Anything over 3" you'll need new ucas for alignment. I run the rough country 3/2 lift with the n2.0 struts, alignment was perfect. Don't recommend it, ride sucks, 3" perfect height for 35s. Going 37s soon as I upgrade the front coilovers.

5100s are a great upgrade, can adjust your height, add shims to get 3". Won't break the bank. Diff drop if 4x4. 6112s would be a great step up from there. Both are great on and off road.

Been thinking a pro comp lift 3/2 but also considering the coil over since everyone seems to be steering me that way but also thinking about doing the lift and adding shocks torn between the blisten and Ranchos

I have no experience with pro comp. With as much as you work your truck, I’d recommend good quality front coilovers and shocks in the back. But you’ll have to pay for good quality. I wouldn’t cheap out given how you use your truck off-road.

If you lift the front more than 2”, then you should probably lift the rear a bit, too, or it may sag too low compared to the front when you haul and tow. I’d stay away from lift blocks in the back. Although I’ve never seen it happen, I’ve heard of them cracking or spitting out with force off-road. If you haul and tow a lot, a new leaf pack that achieves a bit more lift with stronger spring rate might help, but that adds to the cost. A cheaper alternative is an add-a-leaf, but my experience with them has been a harsh ride with an enpty bed. They seem to do ok with a load when coupled with good quality shocks.

A rear anti-sway bar might help as well when towing.

    Hope this helps.

From what you described on how you use your truck I’d suggest an Old Man Emu lift. Great quality and won’t break the bank. You really won’t find anyone knocking these.

Old Man Emu has been making really good quality suspensions for Toyota 4x4s for decades. I think they started with the older Landcruisers.

Going to put an OME suspension lift and some 20in Black Rhino Armory wheels. Stuff have to be ordered since they don’t have any in stock here in south Texas so by Friday hopefully truck will be going in for upgrades

Looks great! What size tires do you end up going with?

When its time to replace them what are you going with? I am looking at this kit and just wondering what a safe tire size is with it? I still have my stock BFGs too, 275/55/20.

I’ve heard from a few people that you can put 35s but I’m not 100% sure you can. I know the 285 already runs like a 32.something so I’m guessing 33s would be good maybe even pushing to a 305 without rubbing or trimming.
I know on one thread there’s a tire size calculator which helps but also heard from some they take off their mud flaps and do some trimming. I myself want to get a bigger tire when the time comes looking at Nitto Ridge Grapplers or stick with the KO2 but move up to a 305 or a 315 if I can fit it

Would go with 33s but don’t really want mud tires even though they are great and look awesome dosnt help in sand or anywhere else had run ins with them

Thats the range I was thinking about also, would love to fit 35" BFGs. How are you liking the kit? OME is pretty hard to beat from everything I've heard and read.
