I bought my '19 TRD Pro in late September and didn't start having issues until about 3 to 4 weeks into owning. About 2500 miles. The sensor would state off and unavailable. Brought it in and they replaced the rear trailer ECU and seemed resolved for a couple of weeks. Then the nagging PCS off amber light stayed lit most of the time. I took it in and they reset it and was fine for a day or two. Brought it in for the 5k service and mentioned the issue and was starting to be told that it was luxury and that they were working on it and need to be patient. Then a couple of weeks later in early January the display locked me out and said bring the truck into the dealer at which point I brought it in and said this is horse shit, take care of it. They worked on it and ordered in another front sensor, came back and they put it in a week later and shortly thereafter started doing it again. Brought it back in and they said it needed a new harness, so they ordered it and when I came in a week and a half later to have them install it they told me that I had to schedule with them the following week to have the official Corporate Toyota Tech come in and do the work as they I am imagining didn't want to potentially deal with a lemon law buy back and the sensors at close to 1100.00 a pop was getting a bit ridiculous. So I brought it in and the hubbub was entertaining as they only see this guy or his equivalent once every year or two. I felt like a bit of a Celeb lol. That was 2 weeks ago and so far so good. Was told that some of the sensors had moisture intrusions and am under the impression this may be a 2.0 version or just one that happens to work. Who know, only time will. I have a 10yr 125K Toyota Warranty and if I have to I will bring it in every month for the next 9 1/2 years if I have to. Prefer not to and going to remain optimistic it is resolved.

It’s probably the pro suspension giving you all that trouble. I’ll trade you for my TRD OR set-up, no PCS issues here.
On a serious note, sorry to hear about all the trouble you are having. Hard to believe a company like Toyota would put such an unreliable system on their trucks... mine has gone off once or twice for no apparent reason. The only thing I noticed is that it would happen in the afternoon after work when the truck was parked outside with the sensor facing the sun all day. Coincidence? Who knows...

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
I’m not liking this stuff from Toyota.
Sure am glad I’ve got a 2015 without any of the safety stuff. If I need another vehicle I will go back older rather than newer. Hopefully you can get this resolved without a lot of trouble!

I had the same exact problem on my 2018 TRD Off Road. It was prob in the shop 10 times in my first 6 month of ownership. At one point I gave them the truck told them to give me a new car and I will bring it back when the truck is fixed. They had it two weeks. I have now gone about 5000 miles no issues. My sensor, battery, harness, and ECU were all changed at different points lol.

    Here are the facts.

    - Companies will do whatever they can to reduce costs and extract the most revenue and profit out of any given scenario, even if it means a few compromises. Read: Shareholders. That's all that matters. Not you the consumer.

    - Most people will do just enough not to get fired.

Toyota = Ford = Chevy = Anyname Company. Think about it, where is the recurring revenue in vehicles that people buy and keep for 20 years? Oh no....that won't do.

If I had my druthers, I'd have Toyota make me a brand new 2007 Tundra.

So far it has been seamless since the last repair. Will periodically keep you posted.

Sorry, those are not the facts. I've been in R&D Mechanical Engineering for several decades at a number of companies and none of them operate the way you say they do.
