You’d really enjoy the Hellwig 7700 rear sway bar for hauling. Especially, if you tow loads. One of the best things I’ve done for 02’.

Matched up the OEM padding pretty well considering the stuff I scored was free from an online food delivery prep service. Truck is a tad quieter. Got everything dusted and vacuumed up behind the seat and confirmed the window leak of the past was for sure from the slider (followed the stains/not 3rd light).

TS is dead, shame because it holds so much knowledge and history. It was, at its peak, the best Tundra specific forum for first gens. Some members got irritable and felt a sense of ownership and thought they were moderators, destroyed the vibe. Any new members with simple questions were welcomed with "go search" in a fuckoff manner.

A very ambitious revamp went down to take what was one big melting pot and turn it into a sectioned library, it was a huge undertaking and for the most part made things better to navigate. Then a few well liked members got banned and the great exodus to the TT forum happened. TT was cool but never grew a real presence for first gens. Eventually both sites got hacked and became really buggy, long delays, popups, search feature stopped working and so forth. Idk what became of that site because I lost interest but see a lot of their members here.

This is probably the best of both worlds. Mods here are cool and members here are helpful. The mix here of new and longtime owners is good for the first gen community I think.

Meanwhile I got the cable for my Alpine today. :D

Removed the front seats and center console to vacuum. Threw in some foam scored from a shipping box into the console well crevices and laid some butyl underneath before reinstallation. Stereo sounding good as it gets for being ‘cheap OEM JBL’ with everything being dampened. Bass sounds deeper and holds. Voices sound crisper.

Yes they are as the 02’ is an SR5. I really enjoy the smaller console compared to the larger later models. Really frees up space. Makes the cabin seem bigger.

But you don't get the extra cup holders and the tray... Or the secret compartment under the tray. I hate the pop-out cup holders. I think I'm going to remove mine and try to stick a CB radio in that space.

In my case, there is no need for the extra cup holders as I’ve 4 already. The tray you refer to would eat up space I prefer for open space. I did discover a secret compartment that was never realized until today. I have no need for one, but its good to know its there.

This reminds me to take some pics of my rear wells compartments where the jumper cables, folding shovel, and tire plugs are stored. Mz. PHM never knew about those two rear well compartments under the back seat until today when the seat was out.

Alright. I’ve been weighing options here and taking mental notes over the year on this headlight lamps/projectors subject. Looking for input. Most of you know I like quality stuff and will do the work right and so far I’ve had great sucess through this site. Mostly, by learning from others mistakes which is the best way because I dislike making them myself.

    Options:
    1) Buy cheapie Auxbeeems and see how they perform. $49. Low ri$k. Easy.

    2) Buy those HR bulbs for $239 and scream at the sky if they blind people to death and have to remove them. High ri$k. Easy.

    3) Buy all the bits and parts for the Morimoto 5.0 for approx. $400 total. Then do the work. Keep in mind that I have a brand new spare set of reflector assys so time is NOT going to be an issue doing the work. High dollar high risk on damage, plus lots of work. Not sure if these blind people too?

    4) Do nothing and use the money on beer.

Its actually under the cup holders. The black assy insert snaps out, but he console lid needs lifting first.

No idea. I was driving about 50mph, heard a snap, the truck dropped and I saw my tire fly by me heading into oncoming traffic. All suspension is intact, the wheel is fine, lugs are okay. I guess all 6 lug nuts failed? I can't find them on the street so who knows

Yes I can see this. I’m referring to the leverage of the spacers gap put back on the rotor. The gap distance creating the fatigue. Your lug nuts are all missing? The wheel separated from the spacer, too?

Let me back up and say glad nobody was hurt.

Tried looking for lug nuts and couldn't find them. Spacer is held on nice and tight to the rotor. It was almost like I was driving on one lug nut and it gave way. It hurts my brain trying to figure it out

That's my neck of the woods. Love the canyons and back roads in this area this time of year. I'm also loving the sound of the new exhaust system. Oh, so that's what a V8 sounds like...

Eh I’m probably going the retrofit route. But philips makes h4 led bulbs I’ve heard good things about. They’re about 200-250 a set though

The GTR’s (Philips LED tech) are the ones I’m eyeing for around $239 for the pair. They’ll run my DTR’s and come with no questions lifetime warranty. These are what I’m gravitating towards.

Nice! I can't get over how green it is around here. I'm in Moorpark and took Moorpark Rd through the Norwegian Grade to hit Thousand Oaks.
