Hello everyone this is my first post. Im now a proud owner of a 17 Tundra SR5 TRD offroad 4x4  i love everything about the truck but im looking into lifting it. I want mostly preformance out of the lift. i live in the desert in California and looking for just a nice smooth ride when going through rough terain. I have seen many options like ready lift and others like 3'' coil overs??? im not looking to raise the truck to a crazy amount, just want that beefy aggresive look with a nice ride when offroad. Will the stock trd offroad package be fine???? Just looking for some help and guidence as i am new to the truck world..

Depends on how fast you want to go over the rough stuff. If you go slow the offroad package is fine. If you want to go faster, King shocks are in your future, along with a depleted bank account. Your choice and welcome!

Wouldn’t run a readylift if you’re looking for off-road performance.

You can put better coilovers on with no lift. Question is how much do you want to spend. You can spend from $500 up to $15K, depending on what your needs are. For the mall, ready lift or spacer lift is fine. For high speed desert running, the sky is the limit. Your call.
If I were you I would call Marie at Headstrong Offroad. Tell them what you want to do and they will help you without tearing you a new one.

Green laning, Xcountry, rock crawling, mudding, or desert bashing? How much you want to spend?

Adjustable 6112 and 5160 rear combo is a good bang-for-buck suspension upgrade for green laning and light X-country with minor obstacles, the first type. The other types get pricier. When you go around 3" and above, you'll need new UCA's which adds to cost.

6112's at 2nd setting provide 1.9" lift, each Coachbuilder shim will add another 0.5" like what some guys did here:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/6112-setting-and-tire-wheel-combo-thread.23699/

The stock package is fine for green laning unpaved roads and trails with no obstacles, tires make a difference too.

So I just bought my 2017 tundra and am now going to be doing some upgrades...
    35” ko2 tire
    18” method 305 wheels
    3/1 lift
Anyone out there with this 3/1 lift??? I’m just curious if I’m making a good choice on this setup. I only use the truck for fishing trips, camping, hunting ext..

    Welcome from Pittsburgh!

Id give a +1 to the Toytec Boss suspension! Rides so smooth and brought the truck up level on all sides at ~26" (give or take a 1/4 on the passenger side) from the center of the rim. I think its money well spent for such a great ride. Love your white tundra.
