Middle of the night, bored out of my mind so decided to officially announce my induction into the bald is beautiful club! LOL

Hair was on its way out anyways and I'd rather be bald than balding!

It's a damn huge step. Before you do it, It's almost like you're ripping out part of your identity!
Hair started thinning in the back about 12 years ago, it wasn't until 4 years ago it started spreading to the front. Was holding on to it tighter than a crackhead and his pipe.
Trust me, I seriously wish I had done it sooner. Just gotta sack up and say "f@$k it"
Get some trimming heads and work your way shorter. If you don't like a certain length, stay there or let it grow out again, a la Krusty LOL

My hair started thinning in my early 20's so I really didn't have much choice in the matter. I have been shaving my head with a razor for 18+ years now and I'm really happy with the look. Saved a bunch of cash over the years with haircuts which fund my mods now a days...

I worked a historic restoration project at our state Capitol for several years. The chief of security was a bald retired cop from NYC. (The Capitol dome of course was copper with a central skylight)
On several occasions I would enlist the help of a random teenage tourist to stop by his office when leaving and ask "how he keeps his dome polished, while rubbing their own head...

Definitely a plus!! What razor do you use? Been thinking of the head blade, but regular razors are doing just fine now.

I'm using Gillette Fusion when I'm in a rush and an old safety razor when I have more time. I tried the head blade but didn't feel right to me. It's too small in my hand and if your hands are wet it slips too much, don't like getting nicks and cuts on my head.

I would recommend to use a shaving soap rather than using shaving cream/gels. It works really well for me and I use 1 bar for 9 months.

    Same blade I use.
Yeah I don't have small or nimble hands so the slipping would be a problem.

I'll have to look in the soaps.
I get dandruff so I'm gonna invest in some head scrub crap.

    Thanks Sean!

I just use clippers down to zero setting and leave the stubble. Comes in handy to hold a beanie in place in the winter
