I'm getting some Grapplers put on today. Same size as the tires that came with the truck. The truck doesn't even have 8k miles on it. Is it worth it to get an alignment?

Only if you see uneven/abnormal wear on the tires you're taking off.

I would. To help extend the life on your new tires. $50-ish to help out your $800+ tires is worth it IMO.

    Yes
Start new tires knowing the truck is aligned.
Once a tire starts wearing funny
    There’s no turning back

Also tire rotations are just as important for tire longevity.

As soon as I get a vehicle, my first stop is Firestone and purchase the lifetime alignment. Around $100. I have them do an alignment everytime they change my oil. It helps that they're about 50 yards from my office.

That’s a bit excessive. My last truck had an alignment once in 96k miles. And that was only because I installed a lift at 65k. Never an issue. Your alignment doesn’t just change unless you’re beating the shit out of your truck every day.

Go to Firestone. Get the lifetime alignment. Best $179 you'll spend. You can then take it back every 6,000 miles to get it aligned for free.....

Mine has been off every time I've had it checked. I guess it depends on the roads you travel.

I’m in south Louisiana. Not exactly an area known for anything being smooth, especially the roads. Lol.

I agree it's a bit excessive, but it's already there, I've already paid for it and having it done again doesn't hurt anything.

I won't say that I beat the hell out of my truck daily.... but I don't pass up opportunities to make an armadillo pancake either.
