The decision to buy a more suitable truck for future 30' goose-neck loads has been made, so I will no longer be using a 1/2 ton truck.

    2012 Tundra CM SR5, Non-Flex fuel 5.7L, 80,800 miles. 25,500.00 + wanted optional items.

Magnetic Gray, back up camera, CC, tilt & telescoping steering column, CD, BT, factory alarm, Landcar traceable theft protection system (not a fan, but it lowers my insurance and I didn't pay for it), yadda yadda yadda

    Suspension
Installed recently, and have options to lift already.
-Front Bilstein 6112 shocks/springs (low setting). I do have a differential drop kit if new owner wants to level truck. One shim installed on drivers side to make level.
-Rear Bilstein 5160 shocks, Coachbuilder +2 shackles

    Mods
-AFE dryflow filter. Cleaned every oil change
-Charcoal filter is not installed, still have.
-Color matched front grill (will install soon)
-Centric Drilled/slotted front rotors and Centric pads, installed at ~70K miles. Truck has the factory updated backing plates to help with cooling the front rotors/brakes.
    -Toyota step bars.
    -Tinted windows

Tires will be brand new and the choice of the buyer within reason. Do not ask for Toyo 35" tires. I will cover a factory replacement size.

Truck is in good shape, not looking for a quick sale. I still need to buy a Lexus IS, Camry, or Avalon.

    Options you can purchase:
-Removable Softopper. These are pretty awesome for someone that doesn't need or want a topper full time. This comes with the boot and extra rear door. 475.00 (new you are in the 750+ range)
    -Bed mat. 20.00
    -Husky liner floor mats. 75.00
-Airlift airbags with daystar cradle to minimize airbag tearing 225.00 (I will remove and install new rear bumper plastic piece if buyer doesn't want)
-Holster by cup holders. Fits a G19/1911/ or anything 4" barrel length. Free or will remove if you would like. Easy to do.
-Tekonsha Primus IQ trailer brake controller. 50.00 https://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Controller/Tekonsha/TK90160.html
-Factory Toyota Tow mirrors 300.00, sport mirrors will be installed otherwise.

    Maintenance
-Diffs/transfer case done every 30K and changed in the first 5K to get break in lube out.
    -Power Steering fluid changed ~55K
-Engine Oil changed every 5K with Mobil 1 0W20 (winter) or 5W20 (summer).
-Transmission operational check done at 30K (checks oil level and solenoid operation), fluid changed at 60K and operational check. Toyota recommends the fluid to be changed at 120K miles, but they are not paying for the 4000.00 transmission either. Next owner should do the operational check at 90K miles at dealer. This was a free service and insures warranty coverage in the event something goes wrong.
-Drivetrain lubed every other oil change.
-Carpets and seats shampooed every few months, interior in excellent shape.
-All TSB updates have been performed to keep 100K mile warranty.

    Replaced parts
    -Front passenger maker lamp
    -Front driver side fog lamp
-Front drive wheel bearing. Piss poor troubleshooting from Toyota caused the new wheel bearing. Did not fix problem (I figured it wouldn't), but hey, new wheel bearing for 50.00 deductible, Winning.
-New front differential. The needle bearing on drivers side went out and instead of installing the ECGS bushing that fixes the plagued problem on Tundra/4Runner/Tacoma/FJ trucks for 60.00 (dealer would not warranty it, but recommended it), they got to install a new 2400.00 axle assembly with Toyota's updated needle bearing. Another win for 50.00. This one should last longer than 75K miles.

I can help with financing as well if need be. 250.00 transaction fee. This would take place at a dealership in Denver/Metro area.

If I didn't have the need, the truck wouldn't be sold. I have taken very good care of this truck with the assumption of this being "it" until retirement (8 more years).

Life changes as we all experience.

It will be a while yet. I need to find the new daily cruiser and my next tow rig.

Ram is out. Way to many people still having issues with front ends, DPF filters ammounst other things.

Ford is still a contender, but there is a few serious issues with those damn trucks as well. (Diesel engine related)

GMC 3500HD SRW Denali has the lead by a pretty good margin. I wouldn't buy a gas powered GM product with the cylinder deactivation, but with the diesel/Allison combo...hard to beat.

I have done exactly that a few times and probably will on this purchase as well. Colorado diesel truck pricing is just stupid.

I could see that happening if:

-it can pull the weight (15k lbs GN trailer)
-it isn't the same craptastic Cummins V8 5.0L that the Titan has. I have never seen a modern Diesel get smoked by its gas counterpart in a tow test until recently. Pretty sad really.

I honestly do not think that Toyota will put a diesel in the Tundra. I stand behind what I am about to say:

The Tundra is a fine, damn tough truck. Mike S isn't about to jump into an ocean of sharks (big three diesel market) and try and compete. Toyota sells all it's Tundra's off the assembly line without having fleet sales, huge truck month discounts, or trucks just sitting on lots for 10 months. That says something. Is it the best? That is in the mind of the owner. Would I buy another? Is a frogs ass water tight? I am in no big hurry to sell mine, that is for sure. The day will come, and a sad day that will be. It is only listed for sale on this site, and I figure nobody is buying off here. Someone might call my bluff though.

    Wishful thinking, I know. :oops::oops::oops:
Mike isn't known for his risk taking...AT ALL. There would need to be more than a few forums screaming for a diesel for him to go through with it. Along with assurances that it would be competitive with the big three, it would sell, and above all, the bottom line would be lined with profits.
I really don't see it happening anytime soon TBH, but weirder things have happened and a man's gotta have dreams dammit!!

I'd be reluctant to sell my tundra too (unless it was for another one)

I will check in from time to time. This is a great group of people, no denying that.

If we were not pulling so much weight all the time (and bigger loads are coming), there would be no way in hell I would sell this truck.

On the flip side, the commuter car will be a Lexus IS300 or IS250RWD, and of course the Tacoma isn't going anywhere either. This family will always have at least one Toyota product. Have to...

I'm digging that color matched grill. Where do you get it again?

    Thanks DD.

Oh this car needs tint. Other than that, my daughter claimed this car as hers yesterday and said the wheels need to be black. I actually agreed with her, except the car being her first in 8 years. Maybe a Lexus IS250AWD.

I have been reading a lot on the IS lineup and mods. One can make these car's pretty flippen quick. So far, I really like the package in the IS350. For some reason I speed more in this car than my Corvette. This could be a problem.

    Thanks, forgot to update that.

I'm feeling a little sick today over this.
