Wish mine would be that easy. I'm sitting on the black OEM tail letters and just cant decide if I should do it or not. Debating that and the trd pro bedsides. I kinda like the stamped lettering since u don't really see that on other makes. Funny thing is if they all came with letters filled from factory we would all be pulling them off just to modify it differently lol. Part of me likes the contrast and my other multiple personality likes the stamp. I've also seen couple members here with black/red letters, I kinda like that idea over just black. Decisions decisions?

It's pretty simple and easy. I just warmed them up with a hair dryer a little, peeled up an edge and pulled on the decal slowly. Had a little adhesive left behind but goo gone took care of that. Washed the truck and hit it with some Chemical Guys Butter wet wax.

    BOOM! Done.

Bought my truck in Feb 2018 and removed the decals sometime in the summer.

I'm not sure what company that is but maybe they offer it in black as well? Stamped lettering is cool, but how would you add that? Bed replacement and hope the paint matches? Cost would not be worth it to me.

Sorry for confusion, I mean this stamped lettering, the indents of the word tundra and trd pro. Not sure if I should fill or not?

Ohh duhh I forgot you already had a Pro haha. I thought you were saying you wanted to add the Pro bedsides. I do like the black and red inserts for that since it goes with the theme of the truck. And as lame as some people think they are, I like my black and red TRD 4x4 sticker on my bed. Goes good with white.

I don't think he's still making them, but I'm sure you can find something similar, should you decide you still want something on the bedside. Peeling the factory stickers off wasn't bad at all.

I would leave it just stamped with no decal. Just my opinion. Looks clean stamped.

I'm definitely gonna hold off until I see the black red combo a couple guys got. Like I said and agree with some others, I like the stamped letters, that in itself is different from other makes. Other times, I think the contrast would look great. It does on the guys here I've seen do it. Who knows maybe I'll just do the tailgate and leave the sides. I got a little black red in bumper, little black red in wheels and calipers, shocks. So that's front and sides, but not on back, besides my little hitch lock being black and red, I kinda feel I'm missing a touch of black n red toward back. Got little red in rear sway but not as noticeable until u look under. I think the tailgate with black/red two tone could be the ticket, that and keep the trd pro letters as is stamped.

Wait for a warm day to make it easier. You can also use a hair dryer and heat up the areas as you peel away. Dont worry about the residue. Buy a 3m wheel eraser or similar and it will remove the rest of the residue. Then Use some goo gone and wipe the rest. Put on some wax and good as new. My decal has been on for 3 years. You cant tell it was there.

Your truck is still new so you might not need the wheel eraser. But have it just in case. Makes removing the residue much easier imo.

This is the brand I used, but installed the letters without the jig. Can't remember for sure, but I think they wanted the same price for the fixture as they did for the letters. Wasn't hard to install free hand.

I have an XSP-X and I'm getting ready to remove mine. In the past I have used a hair dryer (not heat gun) and Goof Off with perfect results on brand new paint. Just put a quick coat of wax on when your finished. But I assume no responsibility if your wife or girlfriend beats you for taking her hair dryer or if you mess up your paint lol. Good luck.

If heat gun doesn't work I'll probably plastidip the whole thing.

Or...somewhere I thought I recently saw black lettering with a red outline. That would pretty sweet with your overall theme, imo.
