Is it me, or because I'm new to owning a Toyota in forever, feels like the steering wheel is stiff when using one hand to turn.

Ive owned Subaru and previously a Chevy Silverado and the steering wheel seems so easy to turn. Especially if doing u turn.

Sometimes I feel two hand is needed to make tight turns.

Is this normal for the tundra?

Mine is very easy to steer. It has great power steering and I do one handed palm on the wheel turns on occasion. I don't do one handed u turns as I need to spin the wheel fast.

I feel that mine is very light in the steering. Check your air pressure’s. The suggested 30 psi in the door jam is way too low in my opinion.

Am out of whack alignment can cause this too. But your truck is pretty new to need one unless it was messed up from the start, or someone smacked a curb or something similar.

I do remember my silverado having lighter steering feel from the power steering pump. But the tundra has far better suspension/steering geometry imo. Feels controlled and solid

    Thanks for all the replies..

Yes, the silverado I can turn with one hand easily, same with our 2019 Subaru Ascent my wife's vehicle.

I think the alignment is ok, it only had 4 miles when I bought it so I doubt it was wacked into the curb by someone who test drove it. I test drove another Tundra prior to buying this one but I don't recall! Too exciting at the time LOL.

I typically use one handed palm to do tight turns around parking lots or U-turns but I find myself having to use both hands at times. Maybe it's just something I have to get use to? I'd be interested to see if another Tundra at the dealership lot does the same.

BTW, my air was 40 PSI when I bought it, but I have set it to 32, recently got the 5k oil/tire rotation service and they've air it correctly too.
